India Runway Week  is Asia’s youngest fashion trade event. India Runway Week, season 5 winter/festive 2015 was held over the weekend at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. Organized by Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD), the youngest fashion movement had fashion collections from budding, next gen and established designers.

A complete combination of high Music, dhol beats, fashionable collections and soothing lights all around kept the spirits high for the participants as well as the visitors. With 36 Designers, 14 Fashion shows, India Runway week was a treat to watch.

The season 5 of India Runway week was totally full of excitement. I truly enjoyed the finale, it had the collections from the designers like Manish Gupta and Shravan Kumar Ramaswamy.

Liz Paul and Satya Mishra

Collections focused on orange colored embroideries with golden work. This unique combination of Indo Western collections can be an eye-catcher in wedding, cocktail party etc. With some eye-catching front cut out designs they’re looking really pretty.

The designers wore blue colored dress and looked extremely confident with their showcase of collections.

Tanya Patni

Tanya Patni collections gave a royal look. All the models were suffused in Royal blue and Off white colored dresses on the ramp.

There were gowns and dhoti in the collection. I particularly created an affinity to the dhoti after I wore Ridhima Bhasin Golden Dhoti in my brother’s marriage. I would highly recommend them to be a part of the wardrobe.

Mannara Chopra was the show stopper in Tanya Patni show. She was looking like princess in the gorgeous gown of Tanya Patni. Golden colored embroidery on the gown was looking lovely.

Priyanka Shenoy, Tevar

There was lots of varieties of collections in Tevar. Had some nice fusion of Pallazo dresses. Model in frock dress looked like doll.

This show also had a combo of Dhoti and embroidered coat. The designers came in very subtly on the Ramp.

Raas

The Raas collections largely had ethnic collection. They used multiple colors in their designs. Embroidery was not overshadowing different colors of the dresses.

Girls if you want to look traditional, still like some nice designs. You should definitely look into their collection.

Manish Gupta

Manish Gupta show totally changed the environment of the fashion show. The Hare Krishna Hare Rama dhun was catching and we kept on humming it even after the show. We had some childrens from orphanage “Udayan Ghar” coming in with the costume of Shree Krishna; which looked really sweet.

Manish Gupta’s Collections was the show for which everyone was waiting. TV Actor Mohit Malhotra walked as the showstopper. Manish got inspired by the vivid visuals of Vrindavan and the emotional connect of it with his soul which led to these collections.

Krishna image was painted on all the collections.

Rohini Gugnani

The Rohini Gugnani collections got some good variations. With stylish gowns, salwar suits, designer lehenga and the fancy maxi dress she rocked the ramp. While they’re unique, one can clearly say they’re pretty creative and original. Rohini Gugnani was also looking very pretty like her collection in a red colored maxi dress.

Roop Vatika

In Roop Vatika collection, all the models looked Roopwati on the ramp :D. Sorry couldn’t control.

At the time of show the ramp was looked like a beautiful garden. The models wore lehenga of Roop Vatika collections, looked like Queens of that garden.

Shravan Ramaswamy

Finally at 10 pm the most awaited grand finale by Shravan Ramaswamy started. All over the ramp there were bells and lit diyas with flowers put in strategically. At the corner of ramp large Kapoor stand added the beauty of the show and really gives the grand look to India Runway Week finale event.

The jewellery collections and designer dresses were very good. There were designer Kurta Payjama in male collections and in females lehenga choli, beautiful designer sarees etc.

He has made his life goal to help weavers and his much sought- after collections include the use of handlooms like Kalamkari, Mangalagiri, Madhavaram, Narayanpet, Chirala, Venkatagiri and Chunnur khadi.

Bollywood Celeb Adah Sharma graced the collection as show stopper, she was looking like Egyptian princess in the gorgeous lehenga of Shravan Ramaswamy. The jewellery was really very beautiful and I specially love the hair jewellery which Adah wore on the ramp.

It was great to witness Krishna Somani (an old friend) on the ramp. Couldn’t catch up with her however. She looked really pretty.

The designer Shravan Ramaswamy was looking very simple but by seeing only you can guess he is soft, nice and genuine person. His expression on the show was really heart touching. He was giving respect to all audience by sending his namaste.

I hope you enjoyed this fashion week post. Stay tuned for more posts on OOTD at the event.
