First it was a war of sorts between the Khans, cinematically speaking, of course! It was Salman Khan who undoubtedly pushed the envelop to give us a movie that was very unlikely to come from Sallu’s stable. An overweight, aging Sultan scored big time on the box office as indeed with the audiences for the first time ever with a performance which was both rooted and real. Then came Dangal where Aamir upped the benchmark by playing aging settler who was twice the size Salman acquired to play Sultan. Dangal had both the heart and an assertive message. And going by the way it is going it may become the biggest grosser of all time. And now all eyes are trained on King Khan Shah Rukh Khan. Will he surpass the two with his Raees portrayal?

With his film Raees set to release on the same day as Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, SRK will face a solid competition. Touted as the best work so far from Hrithik Roshan papa Rakesh Roshan is already hinting at the goodness this film is about to deliver. With Raees Shah Rukh is laready pulling his devilishly delicious trump card out–that of being a heroic villain. His villains in Darr, Baazigar, Anjaam and Don have generated hysteria in the past. So we are expecting the 51 year old actor to recreate the magic that only he is known for. But with so many elements standing in the path it would be really interesting to see how  the superstar claims his ground. As if all these things are not enough to give the makers of Raees enough jitters, Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut with Vin Diesel xXx Return of Xander Cage can make matters worse for Raees. Touted as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2017 this Holywood film is riding on the X factor which is Dippy. The third installment from the series is the most awaited one. Deepika who has worked with SRK in Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year is now standing alongside him to hog the limelight, not just in India but Internationally too!
