Director Neeraj Pandey has given us delicious cinematic treats in the form of A Wednesday, Special 26 and Baby. Naturally expectations from his latest outing Rustom starring Akshay Kumar and Ileana D’Cruz in the lead roles were sky high. Akki’s Rustom seems delicious for those who thrive on thrills and suspense. Akshay plays the character of Commander Rustom Pavri, Indian Navy, a very high ranking official who is known for his meticulousness. The devoted patriot but he turns into a unsympathetic lover when he finds out that his ladylove (played by Ileana D’Cruz) is cheating on him with other man. Our correspondent Shweta Parande is attending the press show of the movie. She sent her verdict from the thereat right after the interval. Here’s what Shweta had to say about the movie. ”Akshay Kumar and Ileana are both good. The movie is getting more gripping post interval. It takes you back in time with the sets and production values. Director Tinu Suresh Desai has done a good job for a debut film. Editing is also crisp. Pavan Malhotra as the cop Vincent Lobo is perfect. Wait for the full review of Rustom…it will surely beat Mohenjo Daro in terms of audience interest and appreciation,” opines Shweta.
Looks like the film is really intriguing and interesting. How the story will unfold in the second half will only decide the fate of the film.
