New Delhi, Aug 31: Staff Selection Commission has recently released a notice regarding the cancellation of the SSC CGL Exam 2016. SSC CGL Exam 2016 has not been cancelled by the commission. The exam has been successfully conducted on 4 days i.e September 27, 28, 29 and 30. More slot of SSC CGL Exam will be held till September 11, 2016 across all the centres that are mentioned in the official notification at ssc.nic.in. Candidates should not get disturbed from these rumours of cancellation of the exam.

As per information provided in the notice, SSC has came to know that there is some news in media that the Commission has cancelled the ongoing Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2016 (Tier I) on 1st September,2016. This information is incorrect and baseless. SSC is informing all the CGL aspirants that the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2016 (Tier I) will be conducted in strict conformity with the notified schedule i.e. from August 27 to September 11 2016. If there will be any Any change in the schedule of SSC CGL Exam 2016, the Commission would intimate the candidate’s in advance by placing a notice on the website of the Commission. All the candidates are hereby requested to visit the official website of the commission i.e ssc.nic.in. It is advisable to the aspirants that ignoring the rumours will enable them to concentrate on their preparation level. It will boost up their confidence level as well their concentration will also be improved.

About SSC CGL Exam 2016

SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam is held once in a year for recruitment of Group B and C posts in various ministries and department of government. SSC CGL Exam is conducted in three phases Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. SSC CGL Tier I Exam is the first phase which will include objective type test of 200 questions segregated into four sections ie, English language, General Intelligence and reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.

The candidates who will successfully qualify the Tier 1 exam will be eligible to appear for SSC CGL Tier II Exam, that will comprise of two sections Arithmetical Ability and Englisg Comprehension. Those aspirants who will qualify both the tiers are required to appear for skill test or interview if mentioned in the notification. If the candidates will be passed in all the Tiers of SSC CGL Exam, then he/she will be posted at various Group B and C gazatted or non gazatted vacancies as per the preference opted by the candidates while submitting application form.
