Andhra University, Vishakapatnam is likely to declare the results of AP SET 2016 on October 19 i.e. today. The university has conducted Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (AP SET) in the month of September 2016. Candidates those who are looking for the Assistant Professors/ Lecturer posts or promotions in universities and Degree Colleges applied and appeared for the examination. Candidates those who had written the exam must be eagerly waiting for the AP SET Results 2016. Now it is expected that the university is going to announce the results by today itself. Candidates are advised to check the results and download the score cards from the official website i.e.apset.nic.in as soon as after declaration.
On June 22, this APSET Notification has been released. Thousands of aspirants have registered for the exam. The university conducted the exam on September 11. The examination is conducted for three papers; paper 1 is conducted for general paper and paper 2, 3 is conducted for remaining subjects. They conduct the examination in various papers like Archaeology, anthropology, commerce, computer science and application, English, environmental science, Hindi, law, management, mathematical science, etc
The examination is conducted in various districts like anantapur, Guntur, Nellore, Rajahmundry, Tirupathi and Visakhapatnam.

1. Log on to the official website i.e.www.apset.nic.in
2. The homepage will be displayed.
3. Click on the link that says APSET Results 2016 Merit List.
4. Enter all the required details in the provided fields.
5. The results will appear on the screen.
6. Check the result.
7. Download the result and save it.
8. Take a printout for further reference.
This examination is conducted to recruit assistant professors and lecturers in various colleges and universities in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra University is conducting this exam on behalf of the AP government. After state Bifurcation, for the newly formed state AP is conducting this exam to recruit lectures and asst professors.
The State Bifurcation the government of Andhra Pradesh had issued two GO.s. Ms No. 57 Higher education department has identified Andhra University as nodal agency and GO. Ms No. 47 Higher education department nominated the chairman and Member secretary for steering and monitoring committees to conduct APSET Examination.Due to a lot of demand for recruitment as assistant Professors / Lectures through direct recruitment or promotion in Universities and Degree colleges in newly formed Andhra Pradesh state, Andhra University prepared the proposal for conducting of APSET examination and sent it through APSCHE and Government of Andhra Pradesh to the U.G.C New Delhi. There are 26 Universities, 146 Government Degree Colleges, 1192 aided and unaided degree colleges in bifurcated Andhra Pradesh.
