After every release of iOS from Apple, many iPhone and iPad users curiously wait for Jailbreak version. This time, though it came late, Jailbreak lovers can jailbreak their devices using Yalu and Cydia Impactor.

Luca Todesco, a popular hacker, has released iOS 10.2 as Yalu; this version of Jailbreak is published as beta and has some issues to resolve later. This Jailbreak is compatible with limited devices like iPhone 6s/6s Plus, iPhone SE and iPad Pro. It doesn’t support the latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, though it supports all 64-bit devices. Moreover, this Jailbreak version may not work well as there are many issues in it.

Apart from above mentioned iOS devices, this Jailbreak is compatible with iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, and iPod Touch 6.

In addition to this, Cydia Substrate is not doing well and this can affect many tweaks from Cydia. It is said that Luca has deliberately disabled Substrate so that users cannot use this tool; however, developer community is given freedom to use Substrate. Ever after this, you can Jailbreak your iOS device and enjoy using this beta version of Jailbreak.

Before going ahead, a word of caution: Yalu is in beta version and this can create some problems on your iPhone or iPad, so you should go for this on your own risk. Experts recommend that users should wait for final version of this tool.

Points to Ponder

This Jailbreak is semi-tethered.

Take full backup of your iOS device through iCloud or iTunes.

Check battery status of your phone; charge the device to 100%.

If there is any technical glitch occurs during Jailbreak process, you need to restore your phone or iPad to the latest iOS firmware, i.e. iOS 10.2.

How to Jailbreak iOS 10 on iPhone or iPad Using Yalu and Cydia Impactor
