We’re very proud of our huge selection of bare root hedging and trees, which are grown in 220 acres of rich Herefordshire soil by a dedicated and knowledgeable nursery team. All our plants have been raised from British sourced seed where possible, or from hardwood cuttings taken from our own stock. They’re field grown from seeds or cuttings planted straight into the fields – no poly-tunnels or additional heat sources are used, meaning the plants are extremely hardy and healthy. Strong, fibrous root systems are promoted by undercutting and transplanting, so your plants will have the best chance of success when they are planted out.
We offer a fantastic variety of ages and specifications with our bare root hedging, from slim 1 year old seedlings to bushy 4 year old transplants, so you’ll always be able to find the plants most suitable for your planting project.
RHS Hedging Plants and Trees
We are the exclusive grower of Royal Horticultural Society Hedging plants. Our hedging plants and large trees are licensed by the RHS as they are of the highest quality grown under expert nurserymen, with known provenance, and because of our great low-input growing methods. Our extensive selection of first class plants ranges from container grown plants to great value bare rooted plants, and mature hedging and trees for an instant effect. We are also the exclusive supplier of trees over 3 metres and cell grown plants. Our RHS Endorsed potted plants, and similarly our Premium potted non-hedging plants, are supplied in fresh pots with a layer of bark featuring larger specimens with excellent foliage.

Bare Root Season
As our bare root plants are dug fresh to order, packaged with great care and then speedily dispatched, our customers receive plants which are truly fresh from the fields. Our range of containerised hedging and shrubs are grown, selected and packaged with the same care and attention so you can be sure you’ll always receive plants which are in great condition. We’re proud to sell a selection of our hedging under licence from the Royal Horticultural Society – a definite stamp of quality!
We also work with a selection of trusted growers so that we can make sure we’re offering you the widest possible choice of quality hedging and trees - we even have some quality imported Italian specimens. From cell grown plants to pleached and panelled trees, instant trough hedging to fruit, we hope that you will be able to find the perfect plants for your needs. Where possible these plants have been grown in the UK, making them hardy and well-suited to planting in British gardens.
