‘Dragon Ball Z TV and Movie News Update: This was a big week for Frieza And The Goku Gang. The “Dragon Ball Super” TV Series dropped their storyline and the character breakdown and the Dragon Ball Z movie date was set. So what do we know?

Tech Times reported that the first episode of the Dragon Ball Z TV show will picking up years after Majin Buu’s defeat. Majin Buu was a magical life form created by an evil warlock. He was one of the most powerful antagonists in the “Dragon Ball Z.”
Goku does what his wife Chi-chi tells him to make money although he’d rather practice his fighting skills and train.
Shueisha’s V Jump magazine published the official synopsis “After defeating Majin Buu, life is peaceful once again. Ordered by Chi-chi to earn money, Goku works even as he wants to train even more. Meanwhile, Goten, about to become a brother-in-law to Videl, sets out on a journey with Trunks to find her a present.
“Dragon Ball” will be initially released in Japan starting July 5. The new series comes 18 years after the first anime series for the franchise “Dragon Ball” was released on Fuji TV in 1986. The last series that was released was “Dragon Ball Z Kai” in 2009.
Mantan Web reported that the name for one of the new characters in Dragon Ball Super, will be Shanpa, who resembles Beerus, the God of Destruction from the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ films
Earlier this week, the official website for Dragon Ball Super revealed promo art featuring some new characters in the series. Now we finally know a little bit more about one of those mysterious newbies on the show.
. Frieza and the Goku Gang will premiere the dub version of the upcoming Dragon Ball Z at the the largest anime and manga convention in North America, Anime Expo 2015.
“We’re pleased to premiere the English dub of “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F'” during Anime Expo 2015,” said Gen Fukunaga, CEO and founder of FUNimation.
“Our cast and crew have done an amazing job with the dub. Fans will enjoy every minute of it — from the first scene through the ending credits.”
FUNimation Entertainment will bring the world dub premiere of “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F'” to Regal LA LIVE during Anime Expo 2015 in Los Angeles on July 2. The new film will screen in theaters across the U.S. and Canada from August 4 – 12, 2015.
Actors Sean Schemmel and Christopher R. Sabat, who are reprising their roles from last year’s “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods” as Goku and Vegeta respectively, will be attending the premiere.
The premiere will also feature a red carpet event prior to the screening.
The premiere coincides with opening night of Anime Expo 2015. FUNimation recently completed principal production of the English dub for the movie which was written by series creator Akira Toriyama and directed by Naoyoshi Yamamuro.
FUNimation Entertainment announced that the world premiere of the English dub of “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F'” will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. at the Regal LA Live Stadium 14 in Los Angeles, Calif.
“Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F'” is the 20th film in the Dragon Ball franchise.  The story is the follow-up to “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods” and showcases the return of Frieza — one of the greatest villains in all of anime.
