Ingersoll Rand is to introduce its new W7150 cordless impact wrench and SS100 small engine air starter during MINExpo 2012 in Las Vegas. Ingersoll Rand will also have tools, hoists, winches, pumps and valves on display throughout the show. The group states that the W7150 is the only cordless tool that can perform shoulder-to-shoulder with the industry-leading Ingersoll Rand 2135TiMAX 0.5 in air impact tool.

The W7150 combines "the power of an air tool with the convenience of a cordless", making it ideal for mechanical maintenance applications in the field. The tool's all-metal drivetrain and steel lined aluminum hammer case enables it to stand up to harsh environmental conditions. Weighing in at only 6.8 lb, Ingersoll Rand says that the W7150 features the best power-to-weight ratio in its class and helps reduce operator fatigue on the jobsite.

The company will also debut its new SS100 small engine air starter at the show. The SS100 has a modular design that can be adapted to fit a range of engines, up to 10 litres in size. This versatility reduces application complexity, inventory costs and downtime. Ingersoll Rand says its air starters are "flexible, efficient alternatives to electric sources, and represent more than a half-century of innovative engineering expertise."

The SS100 Air Starters have one frame and multiple 360° rotating flange options, so they are easy to install and can be manipulated to fit most small engines. The starter features an overhung design to eliminate outboard bearings that interfere with flywheel housings, making pinion changes simple. A simple offset gear design allows for efficient field service. "Ingersoll Rand products are engineered to withstand the harsh environmental conditions of the mining industry", said Leon Maness, Regional Product Manager of OEM products at Ingersoll Rand. "We look forward to speaking with our customers during MINExpo and demonstrating to them how our industrial tools, fluid and material handling products can improve efficiency and increase safety on their jobsite."

The company's Booth 9075 will feature the whole Ingersoll Rand material handling portfolio, including CLK hoists, ARO Pit Boss pumps, Filter Regulator Lubricators (FRLs), floor mounted jib cranes and winches.
