DESCRIPTION

A soul once oppressed by the heavy weight of war crawls out from the darkness into blinding light. Born from the blood of the strong and virtuous one beast shook off the chains of slavery to build life among the ashes.  This being took on the mantle of responsibility to become a shepherd among the lost and downtrodden. Shining down upon the licentious they scattered the sinful like maggots and took on the burden that became the rebirth of a worthless nation.

That being was known as The Crown and with Their glorious fortitude They banished the darkness to make way for cleansing light, carving out a place among traitorous garbage for Their precious children. Pride shattered for glory, but above all beyond the thick and towering canopy of the trees that protect and seal in one might say Eternal Valor has bred a vicious collection of disciplined and well-mannered monsters.

El Dorado, a pack built upon the foundation of taking what they want, when they want it. They are not guided by a moral compass such honor, religion, or liberty. They are pirates, Plain and simple. El Dorado is an empire that believe they have no limits on ‘what’s theirs’. What they want is what they get and if it matters not how it is done whether through bargaining, alliances, raids, or invasion. If no one can stop them, who is to say we cannot rule the world? Known for their ruthlessness and brutality El Dorado want one thing and that’s everything. Within this pack, ranks and titles mean almost nothing. The strong feed and devour upon the weak and unless you make a respectable name for yourself, your only place is a slave for someone else stronger than you. Ranks are not given, they are earned; And they must be maintained otherwise your name is worthless unless personally appointed so by the captain. The truth and respect of the captain is key in this pack, it is best to have him/her on your good side. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer swabbies. In this way of life, you've got to constantly be atop your game. Weakness is frowned upon here and if you go soft what use are you to us? Your conscious and heart must sometimes be cast aside to survive in this empire. All members are expected to follow orders to the letter; survival of the pack depends on this. You must be willing to contribute all that you have and all that you can into strengthening the pack.

If you can rub shoulders with the right people; you could probably get away with deeps that would otherwise be deemed punishable. As greed and ambition drive them forward, they will not hesitate to burn anything or anyone in their path.

JOINING INFO

Joining Restrictions: Restrictions? Oh we have a few. It is clear this is a empire of pirates, out to take what they want in the most brutal way possible. If you don’t have the stomach for it, turn tail and walk the other way. Sociopaths, psychopaths, and all the crazies are welcome here so long as they can commit. Greed and ambition fuels us. So those who have a ‘heart of gold’ or seek peace are not welcome here as members of the crew…unless of course becoming one of our slaves is a goal of yours? We always need more slaves.

OOC Joining: Allowed

IC Joining: Open

WARNING:

Be warned, El Dorado plays no shit. Expect the blood of fallen enemies to be smeared along the borders of our lands and their bones hung from trees. You want in? Best be willing to pay the price. El Dorado is no consent, if you are identified as a trespasser or trouble maker. We have full right to chase you down and beat you senseless, then drag you in as a slave. Or torture you (In the most extreme way possible.) At any rate, when approaching the border, simply howl as loud as you can and lay on your belly. This tells us you have no hostile intentions and you won’t be seen as a trespasser…when approached by a member of the pack, you will be told to stand. If you are willing to hand over accessories, bracelets, earnings, necklaces, and all that good stuff. Your chances of being accepted go up, we love the shiny things. It also shows you have an eye for the good stuff. Be respectful to your recruiter, don’t be a suck up. We don’t demand high levels of respect nor do we condone rudeness. Just try not to tick them off. Some members are more tolerable than others. You will be asked a series of questions regarding character, ambitions, abilities, and ect. Just to make sure you physiologically and physically fit the profile. What happens after that depends on the recruiter, but once you’re in. We expect you to integrate yourself among the crew and find a house.

DUTIES

Duties: Duties are given to every member upon joining. By completing task and making a name for yourself you earn more rank and thus more responsibility. Everyone is expected to pull their own weight and contribute to the pack in some way shape or form.

Changing Duties: Undecided

Ranking Up: As stated above, ranks mean almost nothing here unless you make a name for yourself. Only ranks that are to be seen as important regardless are Those in the regiment and above. All of which are chosen by the King personally and thus to be acknowledged for this exemplary performance. It should also be known, that members are divided into several different houses. These houses are like family and are separate from one another and specialize in different things. On house may be focused on healing, another on magic based combat, and another on stealth. It all depends on the ones that leads each house. Some houses may have more benefits than others, all simply depends on who you know.

RANK DEFINITIONS

Rank is a very important part of growth. For the average citizen of ED working toward a position among The Arms may mean everything. However, there’s a bit of complexity when it comes to the chain that binds all members underneath the banner of obedience. While a military position may bring a member  great honor there is a more important differentiation lurking within the jungle. Whether born of the homeland or an outsider the main struggle of any ranked member is that there’s a distinctive difference between a middle class citizen & a high class citizen.

Each animal is born equal but some are more equal than others. Among us the common phrase is that a high class citizen may have more rights, more privilege when it comes to their lower class counterpart. This is especially true when it comes to the civilian class verse any mid-class or high-class citizen. Though some ranks come with special or particular duties that may go beyond the average respect and reward system expected of class this quick introduction is a general write up of what one can expect culture wise when it comes to class separation.

Please be aware that once again this is a general idea, each wolf is expected to act according to their own ideals and views on the subject and rank type can often determine if expectations go above and beyond what you’d normally receive. Further below will be descriptions of rank expectations, privileges, and responsibilities.

THE SOVEREIGN

The Crown: The 'Crown’ of ED. This is the basic alpha-class with the power of absolute choice. They make the decisions, they enforce the rules, they’re the ultimate word of law and keep ED warm for the Sovereign. The raw embodiments of the three virtues, Power, Wisdom, and Courage. The King and Queen represent the pack as a whole. Normally holding the mark of the royal family and keeping the order functioning. The original royal family known as the Kingsley Family founded the order of the gold, and since then those who have appeared with the mark are heirs to the throne of glorious warriors. The sons and daughters of the crown will also hold the title of prince or princess but will not have any official say so unless given by their parents.

Guardians: Otherwise known as 'The Order' Guardians are the members of the pack who have reached enlightenment. Now capable of representing the three virtues power, wisdom, and courage. They are often tasked with keeping the pack up and running and representing ED and everything they truly stand for. While the Crown oversee's them, The Guardians are the ones who maintain pack events, happenings, and the inner workings of the clan. Most decisions go through them and almost all debates are settled by them. Mostly consisting of elders or experienced adults who are familiar with the way of the clan are the only ones who qualify to be a Guardian. Without them, the clan would be all over the place with no sense direction. While Guardians mostly govern the happenings of ED. Ranging from new members, to declarations of war, they are also the strongest fighters in the pack, selfless and righteous, brave and true, and strong. One must complete the nine trials to gain this rank.

~ Apprenticeship Council is a collection of ‘heirs’, their purpose is to be built up and trained to take over should The Crown are assigned to retire or die. When and if a crown is absent the apprentice under them act as The Crown until their return. In the meantime they act as the personal assistant to The Crown, becoming their advisors, appointment makers, and secret keepers.

THE REGIMENT

The section consists of several different members that lead their particular house. These members are the best at their craft and as such teach their major to others to master. They’re a trusted collection whose dedication to the Sovereign has allowed them rewards and power.

Grand Templar: The head of the military specialization of The Arms. They recruit, demote, and promote within The Ranks. It’s a position often envied due to it’s connection to the military, that particular bulk of ranks devoted to those who want to protect the land and country. The Grand Templar are the empires elite guard and their frontal force. The Templar act as the enforcers of the pack as well as it's first line of defense. While the Templar mainly serve the king, they serve as the sword and shield of the pack. It is this rank that most aspire to become, known as the fang and claw of the pack the Templar are tasked with defending the empire, guarding it's secrets and way of life, as well as teaching the younger generation of knights. Templars are often trusted with highly sensitive missions that lower ranked members are not qualified for taking on. They also serve as advisers to the Guardians and are hand picked by the crown. These soldiers report directly to the crown and do whatever it is they are requested to do. Be is a assassination, a errand, or any other task the crown may need done. Other Templars are often given highly important assignments by the Guardians. The apprentice of a Templar is known as a knight.

Commandant: The head of the Outriders. It’s an important position reserved for a member who isn’t afraid to work long hard hours. Their duty is to recruit, demote, and promote within the Outrider class. While protecting what’s on the inside and combating other packs during times of war might be what the military does the Outriders keep trash, spies, and unfit beings from slipping past the border. They are the only ones outside of others recruiters with the power to reject or accept those that isn’t an Outrider. As such it is also the Commandant’s job to keep others from messing around at the borders and hindering the acceptance process.

Viscount: The head of the Forerunners and Paladin rank. This is the basic executioner of ED. the big bad wolf that comes to visit prisoners, treasonous members, and dishonored individuals. Their task is to promote, demote, and recruit for said ranks but also to make sure the particular brainwashing procedures utilized by the Forerunner and Paladin squadron are effective and out of sight. They assist in gauging public mood and often alert The Crown to any particular anger large masses of people might be feeling.

Isangoma:The head of the alchemist, a mixture of which doctor and assassin. They are in charge of promoting, demoting, and recruiting for the alchemist rank. Their major duty is to make sure that The Sovereign and Regiment remain healthy. In a way this is a figure who has the right to reserve healing for certain members. Being blacklisted from the Alchemist Guild would be a horrible thing to accomplish, all things considered. The Surgeon reserves the right to sit in on interrogation or torture sessions to make sure that the target cannot be killed, injured excessively, or slip into unconsciousness.

HIGH CLASS CITIZENS

Vanguard: The highest honor and most esteemed job is often the hardest to get into. This is a placement for ones that have proven themselves to be loyal, obedient, and competent. This is a force utilized for the protection of Crown and their families. They are bodyguards, shadows of those they are assigned to and often live near if not with the assigned Crowned. They hold the ability to punish or attack those who they find threatening or treasonous to the current ideals of El Dorado.

Agents: Though they are not apart of the esteemed military career track their job is just as important and their position regarded with the respect they demand through fear and intimidation. An Agent is a secret service of individuals who keep to a code of morals regulated by the Viscount. As if they crafting their own society their sole purpose is to assist in the rehabilitation of dishonored, treasonous, and confused individuals by capturing them. They call such tactics Collecting and the Transition from worthless scum to honorable citizen of ED is an important task that keeps the pack running smoothly. They are trained in the act of stealth, capture, and mental manipulation. Through utilizing taught torture, interrogation, and brainwashing techniques they recycle mouthy citizens into the Herald and general empire. They have the responsibility of patrolling the lands seeking those who seem less than stellar about their position and if that particular member is pointed out to them by the forerunner (Herald) they have permission to capture and retain that individual for analysis by the Forerunner. They can also punish law breakers. If one is caught doing naughty things one should hope to be killed before they are Recycled, it would be a better experience overall. Agents are Authorized to handle drugs.

MIDDLE CLASS CITIZENS

Knight: What a wonderful day to be apart of the working class, especially if that class is apart of the military career track. It’s a great honor to be apart of the Knights, which utilizes a collection of athletic and healthy well-minded individuals to keep ED safe from invading forces and those that would attempt it’s destruction. They are the pride of ED, the force that comes to the call of those who cry out for blood. Mostly known for tearing apart those who would threaten their ideals & society apart they also double as the first line sent out to destroy and scout when threats are identified. Though not allowed to leave without permission they do often go on missions beyond the metaphorical walls of ED if need be (ie: to get food should ED appear in short supply) and can roam the borders in order to assist Outriders that need help. And in speical cases, assist Templars as apprentices on ridding the world of corrupt filth. They cannot, however, accept or reject members into ED.

Forerunner: The meat of the Propaganda Project, their importance lies along the lines of retainment and assimilation assistance. They spread newly made laws and information from The Crown around ED and also make announcements when asked for The Council before court is held. They tally up votes and keep historical records so that new wolves who wonder about the culture and overall structure of the pack they inhabit can be properly educated and get the answers to questions they seek. Often extremely charismatic and devoted they’re a loyal set of wolves who obey without question or hesitance. Blessed, perhaps, with the knowledge of how mentality and instinct work within wolves they  may often preach or tutor others about the greatness of ED, spreading manipulated speech across the landscape to keep wolves blissfully unaware of the inner workings of ED.  They’re spies in that respect, seeking out dissenters and people less than pleased with their current situation (though most wolves will only see them as chatty happy citizens). Yet, beyond their surface job of teaching is the frightening assignment of pointing out wolves that aren’t adhering well to ED for kidnapping and Recycling. Wolves that seem mouthy tend to disappear around them and when they do return they have an entirely new set of values and ideals that are more ED friendly, sometimes… to friendly. Despite being in the middle class there is something rather frightening about their smiles and way with tongue. Respect is often granted automatically as disrespect might end in something worse than death. They happily work with and chat up the Agents and are allowed to sit in and assist with Agents sanctioned conditioning and rehabilitation.

Outrider: No pack can run without a good sentry. So much of ED relies on this small force of intelligent yet athletically fit and capable citizens. This is a dangerous job with often very little reward, but the power over acceptance is a powerful addiction for some. The Outrider is the sole force with absolute permission and authority to reject or accept beyond The Crown and their leader. Being the first point of contact for anyone seeking entrance into ED they are pressed to put on a good face and make sure the soul coming in has a good idea of what they are in for. They are responsible for the ones they accept and often, if a new  member screws up or is a spy the Outrider is questioned for the misstep. Strong, swift, and capable the Outrider patrols the border, often living there as well, seeking new meat to be assimilated. Though they can handle themselves they are also able to call on the power of the Knights for assistance should a newcomer get to rowdy. They are the absolute authority on the border and should be treated as such. A small band of kings holding a culture all their own they aren’t afraid to get down and dirty with the filth outside the walls. Don’t misstep in their kingdom, they have permission to maim if they’re disrespected or hindered from doing their job on the border…. However, an Outrider should take great care not to get too cocky about their duties, beyond the border there are other wolves with much more pull than they.

Alchemist:They claim they have a guild! A union of sorts that unites them all under the banner of El Dorado. Despite not being one of the more heavily physical forces they still hold a certain power over life and death and they won’t tolerate being messed with due to their lack of obvious muscle. Their brain is their powerful weapon and they use it well to heal the sick and poison the intolerable. Masters of herbs and the body their duty is to keep the overall pack healthy and assist in keeping prisoners alive--even if its against their will. Beyond the eye of the public however their main task is to create drugs and poisons used by Agents for interrogation, manipulation, and forcing those they torture to remain conscious and alert. They help teach Agents how to utilize the drugs they craft and if one isn’t careful anyone could end up the precious testing toy of the Alchemist Guild. Don’t piss them off, there’s a mysterious strength in their craft and they won’t hesitate to use it. The only wolves who have the authority to put their paws on herbs and ‘sell’ medicines or treatment if they so desire. They’ve been given a garden to work in, their own private space, and trespassing might not be tolerated depending on who you are...

LOW CLASS CITIZENS

Citizen: The basic starting class for newly recruited citizens. It’s where a member can prove they want to remain in ED and give it their all. They can be drafted into Middle Class ranks or attend recruiting for ranks. They have no voice, no privilege and cannot vote. Just nameless worthless faces until proven otherwise.

Servants: Dishonored individuals who have fallen hard and fast. Those who are stripped of political privilege, power, and rights. They are the dirt beneath our paw and deserve only the basic necessities of existence until they can prove their worth once more. It’s a place where the wolf must work hard with those who have rights and later, upon significant remorse and proven usefulness they can apply to The Envoy to be allowed back into society. Once and if granted that right The Herald can begin the general rehabilitation process.

Prisoners: Captured individuals from rival packs or trespassers ED decides may prove useful in the future.

LAWS

- The family comes first, do not purposely endanger your fellow members.

- Wolves should always be doing something, laziness is not permitted here.

- Never speak negatively about the Crown or ED.  Agents have the right to silence anyone who speaks ill of their king, pack member or not. Do not allow the honor of your king to be tainted.

- Any wolf found trespassing on our borders is to be taught a lesson, chased out, or dragged back and branded as a prisoner.

- High ranking officials have the right to dish out punishment to lower ranked members should they misbehave.

- An eye for an eye, this is a concept we take seriously. If a crew member attacks another without he proper rank to justify the assault, you will be punished accordingly if the victim chooses to convict the attacker. If you bit off an ear, they have the right to take yours, castrated someone? Well don’t expect to have children. Mercy is a luxury that is earned here.

- Outsiders are considered hostile until proven otherwise. Treat them with suspicion.

- If a member of the crew sees anyone outside the pack being abused, mistreated, or wrongfully attacked. You are not only permitted to intervene...but expected to. We may be pirates, but we do have some sense of honor.

- Follow orders and do not question the morality of your superior officers choices.

- Steal all the shiny shit.

SPECIAL CUSTOMS

The Three Virtues: The empires main faith lies within something known as The Three Virtues. Respectively named Power, Wisdom, and Courage. Each represents a state of being that every soul contains. Courage gives those the strength to stand up to any foe no matter how much stronger they are, the strength to persevere no matter how dire the situation. Courage is simply a state of mind, reflecting a beings personality and set of ideals. Wisdom, the second virtue represents divine intelligence. Citizens of this virtue normally hold the power of telepathy, clairvoyance, and other mental related abilities. The third virtue is power...representing the power to crush all those who stand in their way. Bringing down the wrath of god upon the evil and corrupt. When a member fully understands the meaning of the three and embodies them within themselves, they are then ready to undertake the Three Trials to become a Guardian.

The Three Trials: When a citizen has proved their devotion to the crown and the empire and have allowed the three virtues to guide their very being, they are then ready to enter the three trials. Each trial test their minds, bodies, and souls. Every virtue they embody will be tested and pushed to the limits. Very few survive these trials, but those who do will be granted the highest honor in the pack...becoming a Guardian.

Ambassador System: Though ED is a kingdom acknowledged for its ambitions and ideals for glory. The Crown is aware that it cannot flourish without the assistance of alliances. Due to the reputation they will inevitably gain when doing what they call gods work.

Introducing the beneficial ambassador program, an exchange where strangers are brought in from other kingdoms and invited to stay a few months under the wonderful and competent security of ED. Enjoy our weather, landmarks, and play at democracy while staying in a rather luxurious cavern situated near the lush and beautiful center of the our illustrious estate. After their stay these citizens will be escorted to the border and released to return to their home spewing the praises that is El Dorado and their rich culture.

We’ll treat you so well you’ll want to stay longer.

What is it?

The Ambassador System allows members from other clans and empires to stay within the den set aside for diplomats. The general idea here is that for one or two ic months these strangers are integrated into EDs culture as high ranked diplomats, granted immunities and clearances that most low ranked citizens aren’t offered. This means that these members can virtually roam anywhere except for designated areas or the kings hall, along with a few other spaces. The overall goal of the ambassador is to observe ED for a Empire and when they leave the expectation is that an alliance will be given by said kingdom. They are encouraged to participate in threads with other members and enjoy ED itself--

Clearances

Ambassadors are legally allowed --

+to speak to other citizens about certain subjects, so long as those subjects aren’t traitorous

+to walk around ED (usually with an assigned bodyguard)

+to leave when they are ready (usually they alert an alpha party)

+to have access to a bodyguard (they can bring +1 other with them but a ED knight may be assigned whether they want it or not)

+to not feel obligated to obey orders (unless an Sovereign party, rank lead, or regiment rank says otherwise you don’t have to do anything and generally this is only if you are breaking a law)

+to be treated with respect

+to witness voting trials

Ambassadors are not allowed --

-to murder or attack ED citizens

-to wander into areas they don’t have clearance to be in

-to vote (they aren’t a citizen, their voice doesn’t count)

These lists are examples and not absolute, these are enforced ic rules and ooc guidelines but characters can naturally try to get away with doing whatever. The idea is that ED wolves have to keep ambassadors from discovering certain aspects of their culture. Ambassadors should not witness killing, punishments, gem mines, Agents, ect and it’s up to ED citizens to make sure the ambassador sees only a well balanced utopia. By inviting those would be spies and enemies in we control what they see and we dictate how they think we behave. It’s extremely important that ED wolves talk their great empire up to these ambassadors!!

ED should not be discovered for what it truly is.

Recycling: To be clear, we are pirates. We seek only glory for our nation. However, within every empire there are doubters and those who will mock the crown. It is up to our Agents to seek out the filth within our own ranks to rehabilitate them...this treatment is said to be worse than death.

Artifacts: Stones and other such rare gems are always wanted by this empire. Does not matter who has them or why, they are the rarest treasures one could have and if a member of the family comes across someone who has one. Best and believe blood will be shed. A goal of the empire is to collect all the known artifacts and give them to those within the guardian ranks. Same thing with rare armors.

SPECIAL EVENTS

The Hunger Games: The Hunger Games, a friendly competition between citizens from all clans and kingdoms held once a year in the summer and a overall good time for everyone. The judges, obviously are the Guardians, members of empires may participate in several activities that have been planned. The Games take the span of about a week to fully complete, and teams are often entered into the games. These games start off as simple contest elimination rounds. For example, the great hunt, capture the flag, duels, and ect. As the task go on the challenges become harder and harder until only two teams are remaining, and the final game is held. The winner, depending on the rank, may get an automatic rank up. If not, prizes and spoils for the winners of the Hunger Games! The winners often have bragging rights for the year!

The Shaming: When a member of the empire have broken a law, betrayed the crown, or has committed a great unforgivable evil. They are often punished by a Guardian or Templar. depending on the seriousness of the crime. If the citizen has committed. high crimes, the citizen will be killed in the most brutal way possible - for they could compromise the clan if left alive. If the member has not committed major crimes, they will undergo a shameful ceremony by a Guardian. The pack will gather around the accused, and watch as they are beaten down and humiliated in front of everyone. Depending on the crime, will depend on the injuries sustained. While small stuff will leave one with a few cuts and bruises, and more serious crime could result in the breaking of bones, ripping of flesh, tearing of limbs...and even death. ED will not hesitate to make an example out of someone. If the crime calls for them to live, they may be stripped of rank and made a servant until they prove themselves worthy. While some may be exiled from the pack.

Birth By Fire Ceremony: When members of the crew have proven themselves they are often branded with the mark of the crew upon their chest or shoulder depending on their place of choice. These are normally held for groups of three instead of single members. They are then welcomed into the crew with open arms and for fun have some sporty competition. Each house has a rank, and each rank has their own symbol.

Death By Fire Ceremony: When a member of the family passes on into the afterlife, their bodies are burned in pit. And grieved for by the members of the crew...then the bodies are moved and buried somewhere in the territory along with all the treasure they collected during their time with the pack. And every member of the pack offers one piece of their own treasure as a sign of respect to the recently departed.

This is an interest check for a empire that me and Rare (Erebus) were planning on making. If anyone is interested in it or has any ideas please post
