The seventh edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) opened yesterday and continues through 9 April with more than 1,250 exhibitors, a new exhibitor record, from 12 countries and regions taking part. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the fair welcomes new exhibitors from Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Russia and the United Kingdom at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
New to the fair this year is the World of Professional & Industrial Lighting zone. With close to 40 exhibitors, the zone aims to fulfil the merchandising needs of professional lighting fixtures and applications for specific uses and industrial environments.
The LED & Green Lighting zone, comprising indoor and outdoor lighting categories, is the largest area of the fair with more than 500 exhibitors. It serves the booming market for energy efficient lighting products. Hall of Aurora gathers over 240 branded collections of high-quality lighting fixtures and technologies, such as Ervan, Ford, Gentos, TCL and Viribright.
Other zones are Avenue of Chandeliers, Avenue of Inspiration, Commercial Lighting, Decorative Lighting, Advertising Display Lighting, and Lighting Accessories, Parts and Components.
Bright Ideas
The day-long Asian Lighting Forum on 8 April will comprise two sessions; “Global Market Trends on Lighting Product Development” and “Commercial/Technical Lighting Applications”. There will also be a series of forums and seminars on such topics as testing and certification standards and the business opportunities in mature and emerging markets.
