ILIGAN CITY, PHILIPPINES - A total of 96 couples exchanged “I do’s” in a Mass Wedding ceremony solemnized by Mayor Celso G. Regencia and organized by the Pag-ibig Fund. Vice President Jejomar Binay is the principal sponsor of this Mass Wedding.
The Pag-ibig Fund has been holding mass weddings dubbed “I Do, I Do! Araw ng Pag-ibig” since 2012, benefitting more than 10,000 couples nationwide.
The wedding in Barangay Maria Cristina turned out to be an unforgettable event, not just for the bride and groom, especially to the newly wedded couple Michael Suan and Mary Gale Balanay who are living in Barangay Maria Cristina Iligan City. The lucky couple won house and lot raffled off by Pag-Ibig Fund.
In addition, they also receive a “Pangkabuhayan Package” amounting to Twenty Five Thousand Pesos (P 25,000.00) which was held during Pag-ibig’s inaugural Valentine’s Day event dubbed “I Do. I Do. Araw ng Pag-Ibig, February 12,2015 in Iligan City yesterday.
CMO working team conducts bloodletting
The Office of Mayor Celso G. Regencia – Bloodletting Working Team conducted a bloodletting program with the theme: My Love and Passion is to Give Life a Chance thru “My Blood” today, February 12 held at city hall grounds.
A short program was held with opening remarks delivered by Melchor S. Alquizola, chief of staff of Mayor Celso G. Regencia with short messages by Genevieve Amodia, Red Cross head, Councilor Samuel Huertas and Mildred G. Tarroza, CMO-BWT–adviser.
The CMO-Bloodletting Working Team was composed of Wilma L. Beniga –OIC, Lorraine S. dela Cruz, Anita H. Malagum, Elena B. Ramirez, Rosalinda B. Nacion, Elsie C. Ventero and Gina S. Caballero.
The bloodletting activity is under the Indigency program of Mayor Celso G. Regencia. The team was able to collect 15,990 cc of blood from 43 donors. The blood collected is stocked at the blood bank of the Red Cross.
To avail of the blood services, the individual is to fill up an indigency registration form, secure an Indigency Certificate from the barangay, doctor’s request, referral of indigency from the Red Cross.

Laguidingdan Airport increases flights and operating hours
The management of Laguindingan Airport – Northern Mindanao announced the extension of its operations with flights starting at 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on February 2015. The old flight schedule was 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The move is made to maximize the airport services by increasing its flights to accommodate the large number of passengers to conveniently reach their destination on time.
