Evelyn Sharma is a model and actress of Indian-German lineage. Her acting career started with a minor role in the year 2006, with the British movie ‘Turn Left.’
Evelyn made her debut in the Hindi film industry with the movie ‘From Sydney with Love,’ in which she essayed the character of Lubaina Snyder. She finally found fame after she played the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s girlfriend in the blockbuster film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.’

Evelyn Sharma was born as Evelyn Lakshmi Sharma to an Indian father and German mother on July 12, 1986, in Frankfurt, Germany. She completed her education in business and tried her hand at real estate after that. Later, she modelled for cosmetic brands in the UK and even did minor roles in movies. The 5’6″ beauty eventually headed east to try and carve out a niche for herself in the Hindi film industry.
Evelyn Sharma is fluent in 8 languages including German, English, French, Hindi, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Thai, and the Tagalog dialect of Philippines. In addition to her career as an actress, Sharma is also currently the brand ambassador of Indian lingerie company ‘Bodycare.’

After playing a bit role in the English film ‘Turn Left,’ Evelyn Sharma came to India to pursue a career in Bollywood. Her first Hindi film was ‘From Sidney with love.’ She was subsequently paired with Ayushman Khurrana in movie Nautanki Saala directed by Rohan Sippy, and then came the film Issaq. The turning point in her acting career however came with her portrayal as Lara in the 2013 superhit movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (YJHD).
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani: Evelyn essayed the character of a hot and sexy ditz named Lara in this blockbuster film featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Kalki Koechlin. Her beauty and acting prowess as a dumb yet stunning beauty captured the attention of the audience.
Yaariyan: Post YJHD, Evelyn Sharma was seen as Janet D’Souza in this hit film of 2014. It was the directorial debut of Divya Khosla Kumar, the wife of Super Cassettes head honcho Bhushan Kumar.Sharma essayed the character of a beautiful dream girl in the film and was seen romancing Himansh Kohli, the teen heartthrob from Humse Hai Life. She was absolutely rocking in the movie. Her very sensuous appearance in the hit song “SunnySunny” featuring pop superstar Yo Yo Honey Singh rapidly became a favorite of the viewers. It was her portrayal as a ‘beauty-without-brains’ girl in the 2013 hit film that caught the attention of director David Dhawan who promptly cast her in the role of ‘Veronica’ in his new directorial venture.
