JEE Advanced 2016 Seat Allotment (All rounds): After the declaration of results, the students who attended the JEE advanced exam for the year 2016, will be called for counseling procedure in the prestigious institutions around the country.



hence, this process mainly comprises of JEE Advanced online choice filling and seat allotment. As per the schedule, there are two rounds of seat allotment for the year 2016. While the first round of seat allotment will be held on July 2nd, at 10 am and the second round will be on July 10, at 10 am.

Only those candidates who will qualify in this JEE advanced exams for the year 2016 can attend this and apply for the JEE Advanced online seat allotment process through online during the counseling registration.

Proper procedure details:

For the students to check their JEE Advanced seat allotment all round, the candidate should use their under id which has been given, JEE advanced 2016 roll number and password and check their allotment by the end of each round. If he or she happens to get a seat in that top of his or her preference list during the later rounds, they do not have choice but to accept the seat allotment for JEE Advanced in the earlier round only. They won’t be considered for further rounds in case they have not accepted their allotment during their first and second rounds within the given duration. The course allotted during the final round will be the final time and hence, they should accept and be there on time.

They should check their JOCSAP website by the end of each round during this counseling process to know about the JEE Advanced changes in allotment. They should also upload a soft copy of all the necessary certificates like the category certificate, if they belong to SC or ST or OBC or whatever it is for verification during the online process of counseling seat allotment. Those candidates whose certificates are found to be unaccepted or invalid will be treated as GE one and only if their score for this first paper of their main exam is declared above the required cut off marks.

Also, the candidates who are allotted the seats need to proceed to pay for fees which are Rs 60,000 for GE & OBC and Rs 20,000 for SC/ST/PwD, through online methods like ICICI EPG, ICICI Branch/Challan, SBI EPG, NEFT/RTGS or through Bank Draft. And they should upload a declaration on acceptance form generated in the JOCSAP that is gined after by the candidates and the parents. They should also upload their scanned copy of their 12th mark sheet apart from the recently taken photograph and the clearly signed signature by the student.

Out of more than 10 lakh student who will be attending this exam about 1,50,000 students will only be qualified and placed in the colleges. So there are many procedures and filtration process that they have to go through and hence there are a lot of rounds that they should attend before being placed in the best colleges of the country.

Only candidates who are allotted seats need to proceed to pay the fees as mentioned below.

After allotment, candidates will have to pay the provisional admission fee as follows:

GE & OBC: Rs 60,000 & SC/ST/PwD: Rs 20,000

Fee Payment can be made through ICICI EPG, ICICI Branch/Challan, SBI EPG, NEFT/RTGS, Bank Draft.

Candidates have to upload aDeclaration on Acceptance Form (this is generated in JOCSAP) after it is signed by themselves and their parents.

They also have to upload the scanned copy of mark sheet of class XII

Out of over 13 lakh candidates, who took JEE Main last year, the top 1,50,000 qualified students were seat allotment for the JEE Advanced. Admissions to 16 IITs will be based on category-wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE-Advanced.
