Epic Quiz is an interactive quiz game app wherein you answer trivia questions under different categories for points and gold coins. This app is for fans of trivia games and television game shows.
The game contains three major categories for questions: Movies, Sports, and Video Games. Under these are lots of sub-categories like “Drama”, “Comedy”, “Basketball”, “Platformer”, etc. There are literally thousands of questions that can be answered under all these categories.
You start a game by picking specific categories where your trivia questions will come from. You can choose as little as 1 and up to as many categories as you like. When the game starts, you need to answer trivia questions multiple-choice style, that are from the chosen categories. You are allowed to make 4 mistakes before the game ends and you have 4 “lifelines” that help you eliminate two items from the 4 choices. The game keeps track of how many correct answers you got out of a certain number of questions, your streak of correct answers, etc.
You earn gold coins based on your scores which you can use within the app to purchase different things. There are also Tasks, which pop up while playing, that you have to finish. These Tasks have their own categories, for example, “The Matrix”. When you choose this task, you need to answer correctly and consecutively as many questions about “The Matrix” as you can. Highscores and achievements are stored via Game Center.

The game’s layout and controls are simple and intuitive. It looks and plays like any other trivia game where a question is presented and you need to select your answer from the given choices. The game also has a useful “Help” section which show diagrams that explain the screen’s layout and how the game works.
The game contains a lot of categories and questions which will certainly test your knowledge of the subjects. Even so, the game gives users the power to pick what categories and how many categories they want. By doing so, they give users the power to design their own quizzes.
The game keeps track of statistics for the normal questions and the different Tasks via Game Center which will increase the app’s replayability because users will want to complete achievements and tasks and get high scores against friends or fellow app users.
