Required Skills
* Adhere to all guidelines, policies and procedures of the station, iHeartMedia, Inc., the FCC and all other federal, state and local laws.
* Be an ambassador for the radio station when out in public. Maintain a positive and approachable attitude when around listeners and clients.
* Serve as principal on-air host during assigned time period.
* Perform general assignment sports reporting.
* Remain current and well informed on local, state, national sporting events.
* Research, prepare, and deliver appropriate, interesting, and entertaining content material, relevant to the target audience and time period.
* Contact potential show guests and schedule their appearances.
* Co-ordinate shows topics with other hosts to prevent duplication of guests and efforts.
* Comport oneself on the air and off the air in a mature, responsible manner, consistent with community standards for public discourse and behavior.
* Actively pursue and accept opportunities to represent station at outside community meetings and events.
* Cultivate positive relationships with local athletic leaders and figures.
* Participate in station promotional events, both on the air, and off the air on location.
* Assist the Sales Department by meeting with clients and supporting the station’s advertising and marketing activities.
* Voice station commercials and promotional announcements, as necessary.
* Maintain a high profile in social media, and actively support the station’s digital content efforts.
* Execute special assignments at the direction of station management.
Required Experience
* Good speaking voice.
* Conversant knowledge of local, regional, and national sports, sports personnel, and sporting events.
* Minimum three years experience in radio and/or television.
* Strong interpersonal and “people” skills.
