**Job Summary:**
As an operational excellence specialist, the Principal, Operations Engineer will be responsible for building strong competencies in data\-driven analysis and operational excellence at iHeartMedia\. This thought leader will work with IT and engineering executive leadership and their teams across our global business to identify process areas of highest impact and greatest need, establish KPI’s and metrics, optimize efficiency and effectiveness and create a rhythm of continuous improvement\. Abilities to triage and prioritize, find quick wins with highest impact and get big things done quickly are essential to this key role\.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Establish a strong data\-driven culture along with systematic, repeatable operational processes and a drive for continuous improvement in critical process areas\.
+ Develop a priority\-drive roadmap for increasing operational excellence and efficiency for our most critical operations processes\.
+ Work with IT and engineering operations teams to establish KPI’s and metrics for key process areas and use them to develop a lean, agile and data\-driven operations culture\.
+ Help teams to shift our operational thinking towards being maximally proactive and planful\.
+ Develop a repeatable decision\-making and prioritization framework that is based on data and facts\.
+ Eliminate work wherever possible through problem management, root cause analysis, automation and use of self\-service capabilities\.
+ Drive efficiency, eliminate waste and increase effectiveness of our operations processes\.
+ Serve as a trusted partner and highly skilled resource to IT and engineering leaders and their teams\.
**Qualifications:**
+ Strong working familiarity with industry standard frameworks and toolsets for driving operational excellence, including \(e\.g\.\) Lean Six Sigma, Kanban, ITIL v3, CMMi, Pareto Analysis\.
+ Working knowledge of IT and engineering technologies and operations\.
+ Strong analysis capabilities and skills in structured problem solving\.
+ Strong program and project management skills\.
+ Deep sense of urgency and ability to identify and achieve quick wins\.
+ Ability to quickly learn new subject matter areas, assess operational maturity, establish KPI’s and metrics and drive towards operational maturity\.
+ Great communications and collaboration skills\.
**Work Experience:**
+ Experience in introducing metrics and data as a basis for operational analysis and decision\-making\.
+ Experience in introducing operational discipline into ad hoc process areas\.
+ Experience with process and organizational change management\.
+ Experience in significantly and provable increasing maturity levels for IT and engineering operations processes\.
+ Experience in working with distributed teams and processes and driving them towards high levels of operational excellence\.
**Education:**
+ BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Operations Research or related field\.
+ Six Sigma Black Belt\.
+ PMP preferred\.
