Ahhhh, it's May 1! That could only mean my beach vacay is next month. Will I or won't I be getting into a swimsuit...only time will tell. I honestly don't think I'll be at my pre-baby weight by then since I'm still nursing baby L. and trying to do this weight loss the healthy way, little by little. But...I do think I will be very close and pretty happy with where I am. I'm feeling better and better about myself each week, and while I'm still living in leggings, I hope to be back in some of my jeans this month! For me, it's all about setting these little goals one at a time. Otherwise, it all becomes overwhelming. Did I tell you I hit my first Weight Watchers goal yesterday? NINE pounds. Squeal! I'm coming back, y'all.
As you know, I've been doing the Baby Bounceback program at Pure Barre and I can't recommend it enough. I've seen such a difference in my body these past five weeks, and after just 10 classes I really did start to feel like a pro! It takes about that long to get used to the moves, but trust me, once you do, you'll be a Pure Barre addict like me.
This week, I really started to pick up on the technique. For some reason these legs of mine just don't want to turn out? But alas, I love it when the instructors come by to tweak my form when it's just a little bit off. Then I really start to feel the shake and that's when I know my body is changing! My local Pure Barre is offering an hour nutrition seminar and body composition testing this weekend and I can't wait to see where I stand. They're doing a Summer Body 20 classes in 30 days challenge that starts May 8, and I'm so excited to be a part of it. When the challenge ends, they'll track our body composition again. What a great way to track progress! Seeing the scale go down is rewarding, but having my clothes fit better and looser is even more so.
I'm excited I discovered Pure Barre as a way to help me lose my baby weight. So far, so good! Now, let me go schedule my week 6 classes...
P.S. I'm wearing a gray Pony Tee from Pure Barre (blue tank underneath is Target)...Yummie by Heather Thomson Jade leggings (which I live in...they're faux suede!)...and two new pieces I'm super excited about, ready? Ryka sent me these "Devotion" sneakers in black and violet and while we don't wear sneakers in Pure Barre, I live in them on my stroller walks with baby L. They're so great for cardio! I love the cushion in them (it's a special RE-ZORB active foam that works with your body's movement to create a full body challenge) and they're lightweight, so they're really ideal for walking. I was also sent this black and white Q&Q SmileSolar watch. Yes, solar. It's the best and I wear it for every workout now. (It was just featured in Katy Perry's new video, too!)
