My Opinion
Before I even got my box, I got the chance to really have some fun answering the questions and surveys about my likes and dislikes. It was really fun, and Wantable made the system really simple. After I chose which box I wanted (which was difficult because who wants to choose between make-up, accessories, or intimates?? It’s a hard choice!), I got to tell their system what types of things I liked. Aside from giving you a chance to make sure you only receive things you like, this also gives you a chance to “preview” the types of items you’re going to receive.
In my case, with an Intimates Subscription box, I was asked about a lot of different things. What type of underwear did I like? Did I like long socks or short socks? What type of tights did I enjoy? Did I like camis? Things like that! Of course, it also asked style questions about whether or not I enjoyed neutral-type of basic or more flirty-type of basics. All of it didn’t take that long (less than five minutes), but it also was completely enjoyable, and it was fun to “think” about the things I liked and disliked.
So after I finished making my selections, it was just time to wait for the Wantable Subscription Box to arrive. And arrive it did – and quickly! I received an e-mail to let me know that my box had shipped, so I was waiting pretty eagerly to receive the box. And when I did, it came stuffed full with amazing things that I’ll admit to being pretty excited about.
First off, the Wantable intimates box had a bra and panty set from Coobie. It was a hipster panty with a bandeau bra. I’ll admit to liking the bandaeu bra; it’s totally cute, and it actually stays up. It doesn’t really “hold up” like a regular bra, but that’s more of a bandaeu bra problem than Coobie problem. The panties have a really nice fit, and they look adorable, but I really, really hate the lace they used. It’s not particularly soft. It’s not horribly scratchy like cheap panties, but I’ve definitely felt softer lace. If it had softer lace, it would probably be close to one of my favorite pairs of panties.
The box also included Happy Socks! These are adorable little knee-high socks! The color scheme, while definitely unique, actually works, and I like that about it. The socks are super comfortable, and they don’t show any signs of use – and they’re totally perfect for winter when I want to cover more skin to stay warmer. I hate the colder temperatures!
Last, the box also included the Betsey Johnson Sleep Shorts in Houndstooth. These shorts had to grow on me. Out of the box, I wasn’t particularly fond of the print – I’m used my shirts being the noticeable aspects while the pants/shorts go with basic colors. After pairing it with a basic black shirt for sleeping, though, I’m kinda fond of it. It’s cute and playful, and while it wasn’t my favorite at first, it’s definitely growing on me. Plus, the shorts are super cute, and they’re definitely comfortable.
Plus, it’s worth noting that Wantable got all of my sizing correctly for all of the items! They all fit really well, so it was nice ot have a bunch of new intimates to try out for the cooler weather.
Pros
The Wantable Box gives you a chance to try out new items every month, and with their personalized selection system, you’ll only be receiving items that seem like they would be a good fit for you. Taking their personalized survey was totally enjoyable, and of course, receiving everything in the box was a blast too! Who doesn’t like a surprise every month?
Cons
Sometimes the items may not be your exact type of style – like with the pajama shorts I received this month. They’ve grown on me, though.
