Jeans have long been a staple in my wardrobe, I just love them!
Slipping into your favourite pair of sexy skinnies, relaxed boyfriends or comfy ‘mum jeans’ is an amazing feeling when you’ve found the perfect pair.
They‘re also a great staple in any wardrobe. Wear them with heels, boots or sneakers – leather jackets or coats – your favourite tees and blouses. Dress them up or dress them down, super versatile!
Here are my top 5 tips for choosing the right pair…
Wear what makes you look and feel YOUR best. Because comfort is so important make sure when trying jeans on that you really test them out… think squats in the change room!
Try ALL the jeans, I would never have worn skinny jeans a few years back but after trying on a heap of pairs they are now my favourite style. Shop everywhere, try everything including the men’s dept and try a style you’ve never worn before (you may just be surprised).
Personally I love a high waist jean – perfect for disguising a muffin top (such as the one I’m always sporting) or that big lunch you just ate! But the mid-rise waist is a great alternative depending where on your torso you like your jeans to sit
Distressed or not distressed? Again, it all comes down to personal style and what you feel comfortable in. I love my ripped jeans for adding another element to an outfit, the only downfall… cold knees in winter!
All jeans stretch over time, my tip is to buy your denim with a snug fit. There’s nothing worse than saggy knees and bottom halfway through a wear (believe me I’ve been there). A firmer fit initially is definitely the way to go.
