The effervescent jazz vocalist Tina May will be joined by the London Jazz Sinfonia Strings (Sophie Langdon & Anna Cooper, violins; Mike Briggs, viola, and Miriam Lowbury, cello) along with her jazz quartet including Frank Griffith on clarinet, pianist Nikki Iles, bassist Mark Hodgson and Stephen Keogh on drums. Tina’s offering a mix of songs by Billy Strayhorn, Thelonious Monk, Kurt Weill and Burt Bacharach in arrangements elegantly crafted by Frank, Colin Towns and John Jansson, many of which are included on her new Hep release, ‘’My Kinda Love’. Great to hear on record but even better to experience in person.
