SHA’ DYNASTY IMPROV
There are mom and pop restaurants and local business but as for local comedy, there are few groups who stem from the IE. Except for Sha’ Dynasty. So although it has a few short comedic bits on YouTube, its local improv is where it’s at. Unlike paying to see a headliner, these guys are going to bring our some audience participation in their show. Definitely not for the shy.

GUSTAVO ARELLANO BOOK SIGNING
Don’t recognize the name? Well maybe you should visit our weekly “¡Ask a Mexican!” page more often then.

GUTTERMOUTH
So you all remember Coyote Beach right? Well they may have gone Disney on us (The joint is now called “The Mad Hatter”) but it doesn’t mean that the name defines the venue. To kick off a new start they’ve booked a few bands to get you pumped up: Alongside Guttermouth, which will soon be touring in Canada, you’ll find Sick Sense, She’s a Keeper and Sound Preservation Society.

RIVERSIDE’S GOT TALENT
We don’t need to watch other countries and their talented inhabitants on TV because we have awesome people right here in the IE. The Municipal Auditorium is celebrating its return from renovations with a grand food and talent show. All that matters is that we see the potential that our next door neighbor can have. Plus, it benefits the Make a Wish Foundation.

CAST PLAYERS AUDITION
Here’s your chance to promote yourself from successful shower singer to the stage for All I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten with the Cast Players. It’s not for everyone though, you’ve got to be a funny actor/ess, have the singing voice and memorization skills to boot and there’s only room for three females and three males. Bust out song accompaniment with a CD or wow the panel with a cappella.

“HORIZON/S”
There’s nothing quite like pop art, right? No seriously—pop art is in a delightfully weird category of its own. Whether its Andy Warhol’s soup cans or Roy Lichtenstein’s comic-book women, pop art has always attracted a sensational appeal that separates it from anything else. We can only assume that’s what artist Matt Lipps was going for in his new exhibit at UC Riverside California Museum of Photography. Lipps does have a killer sense of style, even if the intent behind his expression is a little odd. It’s undeniably worth a look.

PROLONG TWILIGHT CRUISE
The Inland Empire has a special spot in their heart for cars. Opening up a majority of garages in the area will either grant you access to some special 19-some odd antique automobile or at least pictures of one on a calendar. Once a month though you can check out the gathering for car lovers to see old hot rods made before and up to 1970.
Not to mention participation in a few raffles that might net you some winnings.
