Star Trek: The Animated Adventures of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek is coming to Blu-Ray on November 15th courtesy of CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution.
Included in the set will be all 22 episodes of the 1973 series, which continued the adventures of Captain Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise first chronicled in the original television show. The episodes will be presented in 1080p HD and will be spread across four discs with included commentary from producer David Wise, writer David Gerrold and Michael and Denise Okuda.
Text commentaries will also be included on select episodes.
This new set will also include special segments created for the DVD release from back in 2006 including Drawn To The Final Frontier: The Making of Star Trek: The Animated Series and What's The Stark Trek Connection? Also included will be a storyboard gallery and show history.
Also included with the set will be 22 colorful poster-style cards, one for each episode, created by artist Juan Ortiz. The set is currently available for pre-order now through Amazon and will run 526 minutes.
