Actor Mark Hamill that Star Wars: Episode VIII will wrap principal photography on Friday, July 22, 2016. The actor revealed the date on his personal Twitter account after being asked by a fan for any new information on Rian Johnson's upcoming film.
While Mark Hamill is not set to appear at San Diego Comic Con this year, it has previously been confirmed that Luke Skywalker himself will be attending Star Wars Celebration Europe in London later this month.
Additionally, it was just announced this week that Mark Ha, ill will be making his first Canadian appearance this year at Fan Expo Canada, which is being held in Toronto, Ontario from September 1st - 4th.
Starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac, Star Wars: Episode VIII arrives in theatres on December 15, 2017.
