“There’s no rivalry between Balakrishna and me. Whatever is happening these days is all because of what’s being written about us in the media,” Chiranjeevi said. He was addressing the issue of the Sankranthi competition between his upcoming film Khaidi No 150 and Balakrishna’s 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni.

Ever since the release dates of both the films were announced, it created a deep rift between the fans of the respective actors and there has been an intense debate about which of the two films will have the last laugh at the box-office. However, in a recent interview to Sakshi, Chiranjeevi brushed aside all this hullabaloo and said that he wants all the films to do well at the box-office.

“It’s a mere coincidence that both the films are releasing at the same time. But I don’t see myself competing with anyone. If you remember, I was present at the opening ceremony of Gautamiputra Satakarni. I admire Krish for his vision and I loved ‘Kanche’. The wish my friend Balakrishna and the whole team of Gautamiputra Satakarni a big success,” Chiranjeevi said.

Directed by VV Vinayak, Chiranjeevi’s 150th film Khaidi No 150 is slated for release on January 11. Kajal Aggarwal is his co-star and Ram Charan has produced the film.
