I was recently offered the opportunity to try a new to me skin care line. From Le Mieux Cosmetics comes skin care geared to treat, comfort, protect and improve the look and feel of the complexion. I received three products that were created specifically for dry skin and I have been living with this trio of products for a while and now I'm ready to tell you what I think of them.

The packaging of this skin care line is lovely. Thick acrylic, sturdy glass, clean, elegant lines and a weighty, substantive feel in the hand. These products look pretty on a dressing table or bathroom counter. I know... Pretty packaging isn't everything and I own some damned fine products in bare bones tubes and bottles but I have to admit, my inner magpie is a huge sucker for the pretty. These three products are not highly scented, they have a very light, fresh, almost "pretty" scent that doesn't linger long.

I am an avid practitioner of multi step skin care. I love the ritual, the steps, the time I take to concentrate on my skin and give myself that so important bit of self care. My normal first step after cleansing and an essence or concentrate is serum. Sometimes, I use one serum. More often, I cocktail multiple serums depending on my skin's needs.

Le Mieux TGF - B Booster Serum is rich in powerful peptides, skin nourishing proteins, protective antioxidants and algae extracts that work in symphony to actively hydrate, plump and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. This light, silky serum, delivered via a bulb and pipette (a pump would have been a better choice!) slips across my skin, sinks in instantly and leaves my complexion feeling so soft and looking instantly improved.

With Dermal Fibroblast Activators, peptides, hyaluronic acid, a tiny dollop of Le Mieux Eye Wrinkle Corrector instantly hydrates the delicate skin of the eye area to smooth the appearance of fine lines, brighten and tone the skin. While there is a claim that this cream can diminish dark circles, I think that you know what I am going to say about that. Nyet. Nope. Nada. Sorry, Charlie. This is lovely eye cream but my dark circles are still large and in charge. I am not giving up hope, tho.

The final step in this triad is Le Mieux Bio Cell Rejuvenating Cream. Rich, deeply moisturizing, this silky cream harnesses hyaluronic acid, peptides and exotic oils to transform dry, distressed skin to soft, pampered, plumped and more youthful looking skin in minutes. When my face is feeling especially dry, tight and uncomfortable, I smooth a little bit of this cream on and gently pat and press it in and the relief is immediate. There is a shiny, moist layer left on the surface of my skin but by morning, it has completely dropped in and my complexion looks and feels like a New Thing. I am so happy to have this cream in my skin care arsenal.

Le Mieux Skin Care is effective and beautiful and it works. Is it The Fountain of Youth? Oh, Honey. No. I'm pushing fifty-two, I don't care what I splash all over my face I'm never going to look twenty-five again. But these products, used in concert with the rest of my routine help my skin to look and feel it's very best for my age and that ain't bad. Not bad, at all. I like what I've tried from this line, so far and I have my eyes on some of their other products.

Le Mieux isn't just for dry skin. They also formulate for oily, normal, combo and acne prone skin types. If you have acne prone skin, check out their four piece Acne System.

Price point is what I consider moderate. These products are not bargain beauty finds but they won't break the bank if you are accustomed to paying whatever it takes to acquire high quality, effective skin care and in my opinion, this serum, eye cream and face cream are worth the asking price.
