Romare Bearden Park Cajun Festival—Sept. 28th

Saturday, September 28th, Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation will be hosting the first Romare Bearden Park Cajun Festival at Charlotte’s newest Uptown park. This family-friendly event will feature the sights, sounds and tastes of our favorite Cajun and Zydeco attractions from the region. Saturday, September 28th 11am – 8pm

15th Annual Oktoberfest—Sept. 20th-Oct. 20th

Join Waldhorn Restaurant as they celebrate the 15th Annual Oktoberfest on Friday and Saturday nights starting September 20 and running until October 20.  This celebration will take place inside the restaurant and outside under the big tent, with rows and rows of tables, dance floor and a stage for a different German band playing each weekend. For further information go to our website at www.waldhorn.us  Tent opens at 5pm and closes at midnight bands begin at 6pm.

2013 Charlotte Oktoberfest—Sept. 28th

**Tickets are sold out for this event, however you can find ticket holders selling their tickets on Craigslist and outside, the day of the event.**

Oktoberfest will be held at the NC Music Factory, with live entertainment on the big stage. The chance to put your skills to the test on games like table tennis, foosball, corn hole and many others in the Creative Loafing Beerlympic Village. Food vendors serving some of the tastiest brats, hot dogs, pretzels, and more.

Fifth Annual Mecktober Fest —October 5th

It’s that time of the year again! Celebrate Mecktober Fest “German-style” at Charlotte’s hometown brewery. Fresh beer, food, and 3 live bands to entertain you all afternoon and into the evening. Including once again the dynamic 9-piece Holzhackern Tyrolean Band to bring a bit of Bavarian music and fun to the Fest! Saturday, October 5th from 12pm-10pm at The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery.

17th Annual Charlotte Race For The Cure—October 5th

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®, the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world. Join them to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer, celebrate survivors, and honor those who have lost their battle. Participants may run, walk, or sleep in for the cure! They offer a 1 mile course and a 5k course. The event will begin at 7:15 a.m. on Oct. 5th. The course uses East Third Street, South Church Street, West Summit Avenue, South Tryon Street, East Morehead Street, and South McDowell Street.

Carolina Renaissance Festival—October 5th-November 24th

The Carolina Renaissance Festival is one of the most interactive entertainment shows ever created with wonderful amusements and antics on going all around you!  Enjoy non-stop entertainment presented on 11 stages every event day.  There is comedy, music, dancing, circus performers, jousting knights on horseback, and much more!  Sit back and relax or become a part of the action as you are surrounded by over 500 costumed characters roaming the festival village!
