June 1st 2007 – January 2016 : Club Penguin Ice Warriors

“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”

George Bernard Shaw

Almost a decade of wars, battles, alliances, conflicts, and a whole lot of fun. Each army has their own mission on Club Penguin, from defending the island, preserving justice, rebelling to make things right, and bringing a tasty snack to the battlefield. The mission of the Ice Warriors was to bring peace to Club Penguin, and that I can say was fully accomplished. Wars will still be fought, but we defended CP and ended countless hate-filled wars that caused much more harm than good.

Although there is so much I can say, I will have the most important parts of the post in this next paragraph, and then later add edits in regarding the history of the Ice Warriors. To start things off, it wasn’t an easy decision to end one of the oldest and most legendary CP armies. The fact is that CP armies are long gone. We are living in a continuous cycle of pointless events that are for the most part faked to somehow show that the community is still “alive”. The heart of CP warfare stopped beating long ago, and I don’t want my creation to take part in this fake world any longer. The Club Penguin army community will unfortunately never decide as a whole on what to do, but that doesn’t mean we can’t decide as a majority. Some people will want to stay, others will want to change games, and some will want to separate forever. As for the current Ice Warriors, the remaining troops can either choose to join another army and/or hangout on IW chat and possibly take part in future plans. All former troops and other members of CP armies are always welcome to hangout on IW chat.

My message to the current Club Penguin army community is this:

Everyone knows how unstable and fake armies are right now. Instead of pointing fingers and fighting, army leaders need to look towards the future and realize that we are going absolutely nowhere. You guys can do whatever you want, but at least think about your current troops and ask yourselves this: is what we’re doing actually fun anymore?

My message to the Ice Warriors: You have the option to either join another army, and/or stick around on IW chat until we can decide what to do for our future. At least we as an army realize that we aren’t having fun anymore, and we’re strong enough to move on elsewhere and actually enjoy our time online. If former troops or anyone else wants to join us, then you are free to do so.

If there are people in this community that still care about the actual COMMUNITY, then comment on https://thecouncilcpa.wordpress.com/ to voice your opinion and take part in shaping the future of armies.

Even though we are departing from Club Penguin, we will always be Ice Warriors. If Club Penguin somehow miraculously changes the game to favor armies, then things my look different for the future. But seeing as that is no where near possible, as we aren’t even allowed to recruit anymore, we will just have to look forward and hope for the best. I honestly can’t give my 100% word if we are changing to a different game. That is up to the current IW troops. In the mean time, IW chat will be a hangout chat until the army decides what our future holds.

I will either edit this post sometime this week or add a new post looking back at IW’s history and what our next step is.

But for now, I will leave you with this.

bye for now,

~ Iceyfeet1234

I don’t know where to begin.

Lets just start with: What a ride.

This army was without a doubt one of the funnest I’ve ever been apart of. Back to the old days where nothing was too serious.. when we were all kids, playing a game that we expanded in our imaginations. Sitting on Club Penguin for countless hours throwing snowballs at the same penguin or trying to surround and capture enemy soldiers. Creating alliances to bring down the “Evil” people and armies. be-friending your fellow warriors and having daily patrols with them. Encountering foreign troops on your server, switching to the chatroom tab and screaming in caps to your higher ranked troops. Being joined by your friends and comrades.. fighting the army off together in hour-long skirmishes. Cheering on your chatroom when the enemy logs off, and ending the day with a big smile on your face.

Coming home the next day from school, firing up your computer and repeating the above. Childish, yet so surreal that everything was just perfect. Everyone was so ambitious and imaginitive. So advanced and intelligent we were. I remember joining other armies just to spy on them, and actually doing my best to become friends with some of their troops. Reporting every day to my Leaders, telling them everything I found out and what the enemy were planning to do. Stabbing the friends i made right in the back when i was ordered to do so.

I’m so glad I was apart of that Era in armies, it was exciting. And I’m even more glad that I was in the Ice Warriors for most of that time.

Fast forward to 2015 and I’m leading this army with my closest friends. We made tons of changes in this army, did our best to turn it into an actual army unlike the previous leaders did. People disliked the decisions we made, and ended up leaving. We rose. The Ice Warriors became the largest and strongest army of 2015 in a matter of weeks and we dominated the competition. We won a tournament and some wars to go along with our accomplishments. Funny thing is that our leadership wasn’t even eye to eye on most things. Iceyfeet and I butted heads for months and weren’t 100% eye to eye. This caused tons of drama and distractions within the army. We both ended up agreeing that it would be best if i left my position as Leader.

Once I left Kingfunks rejoined and led with Ghost for a few weeks. Just after a week Iceyfeet asked me to return after he learned the hard way that I was right about the “Veterans” that were causing trouble on chat. At first I refused to rejoin, but then came to senses that IW was the army i wanted to retire in. Ghost, Icey and I discussed about the leadership position for a day, and i agreed that i would lead with Kingfunks. Once Iceyfeet told Kingfunks, Kingfunks got upset and ended up  trying to keep me out of the army. Once I found out he was acting like a punk I overthrew him within a few minutes. Once I was back in power with Icey, Ghost, and Spy we grew even bigger than we were in february.

The difference between our Leadership and others was that we were actual friends, not an ownership filled with backstabbers and snitches. We always stood by eachother regardless of what was going on. No other army has or had that for years.

The only thing I regret doing, was not joining this army earlier when Iceyfeet first came to me. The things we could have accomplished when we all had time and were actually into armies would have been insane. Inactivity and no motivation is what drove this army down into the grave. Yet we still did great things that other’s couldn’t do, which says a lot.

If you were apart of this era and generation, thank you. We had some great owners and troops.. some of the best I’ve ever had. I hope you all enjoyed the ride as I did. We changed so much and a lot of you shook it off and kept your eyes focused on becoming the best. A leader can’t ask for more than that. Your loyalty is what kept the leadership going. Thank you for that. It’s so fulfilling to see the troops that you recruited turn into someone respectful among the army and community. That’s what we tried to do. We tried our best building an actual army, sadly we didn’t complete all of the steps. School came along and the leaders became bored and exhausted of this community.

We stayed as long as we could, but sadly we can’t continue give this army a helping hand. You may ask why we have come to the decision of shutting down the army.. which is perfectly fine questioning this move. Afterall this is one of the last armies that have never actually shutdown. Iceyfeet came up with idea of ending this army to preserve the legacy we’ve always had. He doesn’t want IW to fold into an army that cheats and survives with no honor. He was very annoyed when he found out the Leadership under sprite was cheating for CPAC ranks. He and the rest of us  thought about ending IW there and then due to the shame it brought to the army.

We are truly sorry that it has come to this. Hopefully all of you can understand why this must happen.. and we hope you stand by it. I personally had an amazing amount of fun leading this army, i met tons of new people who I still talk to and will continue to do so. The ownership during my IW leadership was simply amazing.  I congratulate every single one of you that stayed and continued to rep IW.

On behalf of Iceyfeet1234, Ghost/Razor, Spyguy202, Final Chaser and myself we wish you the best of luck in this community and whatever you choose to do in your future.

Signing off for the last time,

“Kings Never Die”

Its been a hell of a ride being in Ice Warriors.  I can honestly say that this was the most fun i’ve ever had in a Club Penguin Army wether that be leading or just helping out when I can.  Of course there has been ups and downs but even the worst parts were fun.  It makes me very sad that the Ice Warriors, an army that has been around since the beginning of armies, is finally closing down.  It is one of the last armies that is yet to shut down and it is hard to believe its time has finally come.

I’d personally like to thank all the people that have helped the Ice Warriors achieve amazing feats in the Club Penguin Army community.  The name of an army isn’t what defines it, it’s the people that pass through the ranks.  I wish I was able to help out more than I can right now to keep Ice Warriors alive but sadly along with myself Icey, Andrew, Final, and Ghost we just don’t have enough time to take care of this army anymore.  Icey came up with the decision to shut down Ice Warriors and we all agreed it would be best to preserve the legacy instead of watching it fold.  Once an Ice Warrior, always an Ice Warrior no matter what state this army is in.

The Ice Warriors Inner Circle Icey, Andrew, Ghost, Final, and myself recognize everyone  and thank all that have stuck with

Ice Warriors.
