Memebox 19pc Mini K-Beauty Starter Kit review – $10 (regular $22)
A trial-sized travel pouch to introduce novices to the world of K-Beauty (aficionados also welcome!) We’ve selected some of the best Korean products out there that are guaranteed to improve your complexion. Things just got even better because it now comes in a Memebox Pouch so you can take all these goodies while your on the go!
The short product details and directions card are included. It came in a cute bag and box with an adorable signature cat.
CLEANSE:
Botanic Farm Grain Ferment Cleansing Sherbet | Sample Size 10ml
The Grain Ferment Sherbet is specially formulated to thoroughly remove face makeup without irritating the skin. It contains fermented rice bran which brightens the skin while removing skin impurities. Remove makeup effectively and nourish the skin with skin boosting ingredients.
Directions: Scoop a small amount and place on the back of your hand. Then using your ring finger take the product from the back of your hand and dab onto a dry face and massage in up and outward motions. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry for moisture retention.
IcanGWP: Texture is like nothing I have tried. It is like a gel-wax texture. It melts in your hand and becomes a lightweight gel. It is a very mild product and no scent. Good for winter.
DOUBLE CLEANSE:

RE:CIPE Slowganic Cleanser is your one-step all-in-one skincare and deep cleanser made from 98% natural ingredients. This handmade cleanser effectively removes heavy makeup, accumulated dust and oil, and deep-seated bacteria that clogs the pores. It has an advanced formulation of premium herbal oils that works in perfect synergy to help the skin naturally get rid of impurities while also nourishing the skin layers for a better and healthier skin condition.
Directions: Scoop an appropriate amount of the cleanser and gently massage all over the face for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
IcanGWP: I received the Lemon cleanser. This product is handmade! Again the texture is absolutely lovely. It is like you put marshmallow in the food processor. It cleans my skin nicely and brightens my skin for a while. It smells like lemon.
Benton Honest Cleansing Foam | Sample Size 8g
Wash away water based impurities with this balancing cleansing foam. Controls excessive sebum and purifies the skin, leaving it refreshed and supple.
Directions: Wash face with lukewarm water. Squeeze a pea-sized amount of cleanser and massage onto the face until it forms a lather. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
IcanGWP: It is a lightweight cream foam. Lather well. It has a good cleansing agent. Smell nice. My combination skin is nicely clean. I think it is good for all seasons.
EXFOLIATE/MASK:
Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off | Sample Size 8g
An exfoliating skin-softening mask that removes dead skin cells and create a soft, radiant complexion. Formulated with Brazilian black sugar which helps decrease the number of black and white heads.
Directions: After washing, apply desired amount onto face (avoid eye & mouth areas). Mix with water or toner to reduce skin irritation, and massage. For even better results, mix a teaspoon of this mask with a cleansing oil. Wait 10-15 mins, then wash off with warm water.
IcanGWP: I want to try this product (both suggested directions) in spring or summer.
TONE:
Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Skin Toner | Sample Size 15ml
Tone the skin after cleansing. This moisturizing and nourishing toner is formulated with Jeju green tea & green tea seed. Moisturizing and refreshing!
Directions: Apply an adequate amount and spread softly on the face and neck. Pat for better absorption.
SERUM, EFFECTOR & ESSENCE:
Innisfree Green Tea Serum | Sample Size 1ml
A nourishing serum to deeply hydrate and balance moisture levels. Formulated with Jeju green tea, amino acids and minerals.
Directions: Take out an appropriate amount and apply around your face and neck.
IcanGWP: I give this product a try. It is watery gel and it smells like green tea (I think). It hydrates my skin well.
It’s Skin Power 10 Effectors | Sample Packets
Treat everyday skincare concerns with one of these effectors. Formulated with a variety of vitamins and nutrients that target a variety of skincare concerns to reveal a better complexion. Directions: Squeeze and apply a few drops the the face in up and outward motions. Gently pat into skin for full absorption.
Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence | Sample Packet
Repair damage, and prevent future damage with this snail mucin essence. Snail mucin is scientifically and dermatologically proven to repair damaged skin cells, and promote skin cell regeneration.
Directions: After washing and toning your face, dispense 3 to 4 pumps of the essence onto your palm. Rub your hands together to warm the product then massage gently all over your face and neck. Pat gently for better absorption.
TREAT:
Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid | Sample Packet
Prevent stubborn blackheads from appearing with this BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. This liquid essence is specially formulated with BHA molecules to effectively remove dead skin cells.
Directions: After washing and toning, dispense 1 to 2 pumps of the power liquid and spread it all over the face. Gently massage it onto the affected area where most blackheads show. Use daily – morning and evening.
Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid | Sample Packet
Clear away whiteheads and clogged pores with this AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid. It’s a premium formulation of apple water, AHA and glycolic acid. This power liquid effectively cleanses pores and eliminates whiteheads. With its AHA content, it offers gentle exfoliation to removes dead skin.
Directions: After washing, apply 2 to 3 pumps of the power liquid and apply onto the areas where dead skin and whiteheads prominently show. Using a cotton pad, spread the liquid all throughout the skin in circular motions. After 5 minutes, wash off with lukewarm water. Recommended to use every night. Apply sunscreen the next morning.
IcanGWP: I think that these two product are very interesting and I will definitely try them in summer. BHA content is high enough (4%).
MOISTURIZE:
Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Lotion | Sample Size 15ml
This light moisturizer provides moisture without the heaviness of a cream. Balances and nourishes with premium green tea ingredients.
Directions: Take out an adequate amount and apply softly on the face and neck to allow it to fully absorb to the skin
Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Cream | Sample Size 5ml
This balancing cream provides nourishment and moisture with premium green tea ingredients. Light as whipped cream, it is absorbed by the skin to provide quick and intense moisture.
Directions: Take out an appropriate amount and apply around your face and neck.
Enprani Dear By Bounce Cheese Cream | Sample Packet
Enprani’s Dear By Bounce Cheese Cream has a unique formula blend of cream cheese fortified with proteins. This cream completely improves the skin’s condition in result of a complete set of nourishing ingredients that work in perfect synergy. It promotes skin firmness and elasticity while also tightening the pores to make the skin looking smooth, soft and trouble-free.
Directions: At the last step skin care, dispense an appropriate amount and apply to the face and neck.
What I thought?
At first, I am not sure about this bag because I haven’t tried most products or brands included in this bag before. Once I give it a try, I am totally in love with it. What I like the most is that it gives you an entire skincare regimen from Cleanse to Moisturize. Truly enjoy it. They are more authentic too?! Prints are in both Korean and English. Most items are made in Korea too. I was also expected these products to be thick and oily but … not at all. Plus, product scents are subtle and easy to love. Nineteen samples, it is a well worth it for only $5 (I bought it during Black Friday)!

My Beauty Brands Holiday haircare samples!
I agree with one reviewer about this Matrix Bag. It is well made with a soft canvas exterior, waterproof lining, and gusseted sides too. It is large and will fit full size shampoos, conditioners and styling products. I like large, clear, waterproof bag. It is great for travelling and I will use it a lot. It is much larger than letter paper.
These are the only two items I have tried from this sample bag. I love them both!

IcanGWP: It is one of the best quality dry shampoo I ever tried in a long time! I almost gave up on dry shampoo. Nothing worked and I thought it’s marketing. Dry shampoo is just another way to sell more product. I was wrong. This amika dry shampoo is my saviour! Any greasiness disappeared and my hair was left feeling fresh again. It added a lovely amount of lift and bounce to my hair. I can spray it on and don’t have to worry about left over starch on my hair. It has a girly floral scent to it.
