IcanGWP: I do not have high expectation due to 3 out of 5 score on Sephora review. But once I try, I like it very much. As much as I am looking at the set on sale for $18 that includes this liner. As much as I went to Sephora and asked the Benefit SA how to use it! I understand how people feel and I also have a love/hate feeling with product.
Pros: long wear, it seems like nothing will ever remove this product. The applicator tip is great for cat eye wings. I have a very pro wing look the day I tried this product for the first time (note: I only use it to create wings not the entire eye liner). Is it easier for cat eye compared to famous Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner (for me)? Yes, easier (for me).
Cons: I wasted a lot of product because the part of product that is left in the rubber tube is so dry and can’t be used anymore. It will take sometimes to get to know how much you have to twist the product out to do what you want. I haven’t try to use this product for inner liner or full eye liner yet. Inner liner seem to be very difficult (I will stick to my Hourglass liner).
This is my experience. I am not sure but I want to buy a full size and try to mature my skill. I feel like this product has a great potential if I understand how to use it. Let us know what you think.

IcanGWP: How people feel about this product will be vary based on brush that they pick. I am not sure if they include similar brush in all sample bag. Please report back if you get other brushes. Mine is Full & Fabulous (out of stock on Sephora site). Compare to mascaras I bought included in Sephora Favorites Lashstash, this one doesn’t do much for me. Not flaking but no WOW factor. However, one thing I noticed that this formula is really good for – is curl. If you have a long, thick beautiful lash and need to add curl, you may try this. To be fair, I will have to try it with mascara base or mascara fiber. It might become my favorite mascara top coat! Let us know how you use it.
COVER FX Mattifying Primer With Anti-Acne Treatment (0.16 oz) Full size is $38
The secret to Cover FX Mattifying Primer with Anti-Acne Treatment is its ingredients. Willowbark extract, naturally containing salicylic acid, provides gentle exfoliation to clarify the skin and reduce sebum buildup and support the body’s natural cell renewal process. Ancient African tree bark extract assists with minimizing pore size, shine, sebum, and inflammatory acne, while a natural fruit acid complex of bilberry, sugar maple, lemon, sugar cane, and orange alpha-hydroxy acids gently exfoliates and supports the body’s natural cell renewal process to unclog pores and allow drainage. IcanGWP: I picked this bag because of this sample! I am always curious to try this product because this product:
1) Contains significant amount of Salicylic Acid that will helps prevent and clear my combination skin from clogged pores or acne.
2) Right pH of 4.1 + water-based make this primer work properly as exfoliant.
3) It also contains many beneficial ingredients for skin.
4) On top of all skincare benefit, it is a primer!
My primer choices are always Classic Photo Finish from Smashbox and Model Co Face Base Skin Primer. However, they are not for exfoliating. I tried this product right the way and totally love it. It is a little more watery compare to Smashbox or Model Co and works very well as a primer. No fragrance added and it smells like BHA (can’t explain but that how I feel) which I love. Its pH and Salicylic Acid are not too strong for my skin. I am looking for a decent primer that nourish skin, will not clog my pores and actually clear my pores. This is the one.

IcanGWP: It is indeed watery and add subtle glow to my skin. I apply it without primer or foundation only finishing it with loose power. And I love the result. It is just a right amount of glow (no shimmer) adding. It was like “Oh I wake up like this what I can do”. You can totally use it on everyday look or build it up for a special occasion. I have fair skin. However, I believe that this product is universal as it claimed for all skin.

IcanGWP: Some people reported that this product sting or burn their eyes. Mine is okay. Direction is to use it with a wet cotton pad. It smells good and has a lotion texture. I will stick with part oil part water eye makeup remover. I prefer it that way.

What I thought?
Pros: As soon as I saw Cover FX and Buxom mascara, I know this is my bag. I enjoy testing samples in this bag so much. As you may notice (if you follow my unboxing posts) that I usually not try almost everything in the sample bags – just very few. It is a well curated sample bag.
Cons: I wish that they add more brand new samples (not major brands). There are so many niche brands that we do not have a chance to test them out. I expect Sephora to be the place that can offer us those brands. I picked this bag because I can’t find Cover FX or Buxom samples elsewhere.
