Last year’s Apple event with an unmoved design appearance and lots of unwanted things might be a turn down, but this year it has made up for it all as the Apple declining sales had also made the event the last chance for glory again. Hence, lets have a quick look at what the iPhone 7 specs offer.
Updated design
The days for having new names for new designs are gone. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are more than a clear proof of that while the antenna lines have been toned down like the rumors speculated to be towards the top and bottom. It has also been made IP67 water resistant and dust resistant and can last under water for 30 minutes under a meter. The pressure sensitive button is also a great Taptic Engine for touch response while the new Black glossier color is available in 128 and 256 GB variants as well.
Sound
Saying goodbye to the headphones jack was already a thing while the dongle for plugging in existing headphones has been given as a lightning port. Additional and special $159 AirPods are those wireless earphones that are the only ones you can use as they get charged in a special compact case besides the new W1 chip that they have for handling connections. It also has improved stereo speakers and better audio range too.
Camera
Here the 7 has a 12 MP camera with 6 element lens, 1.8 focal sensor (60% faster) and optical image stabilization and quad LED system while the 7 Plus has dual 12 Mp setup with wide-angle 28mm telephoto 58mm lens having both 1.8 and 2.8 focal, shallow depth, real-time lens. It also has dubbed Depth that shall come through an update while 2x and 10x optical zoom and RAW DNG photos with 4K videos are also possible here. The front camera on the other hand is also equipped with a 7MP FaceTime video capture unit.
Interior
The A10 Fusion Chip (120 times faster than the nine years previous first iPhone) also has a four core setup that has two performance cores and two efficient cores to it. It also has 3.3 billion transistors and overall boost of 40% over the A9. The GPU also has six cores and is more than half as fast though it now consumes only 2/3s in comparison to the pervious one.
Even the displays might be the same but are 25% better than before as the color gamut is wider through the 3D Touch system. The phone is also available for 32, 128, and 256 GB storage and colors include Jet Black, Black, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold too. It also has a battery that lasts two hours more than the previous versions while the next update shall soon come for the iOS ecosystem on 13th September 2016 with deeper Siri integration, widgets, and major apps. It shall also feature 25 LTE bands.
Support and Price
Launched alongside is the Apple Pencil too while the price follows the same suit as the versions for 7 start as $649, $749 and $849 for 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB respectively. The Plus costs $769, $869, and $969 in the same storage fashion too.
