Apple has just seeded the second beta of macOS Sierra 10.12.2 to developers, one week after releasing the first 10.12.2 beta and two weeks after the public release of macOS 10.12.1.

macOS Sierra 10.12.2 includes new emoji introducing Unicode 9 characters like clown face, drooling face, selfie, face palm, fox face, and more. Additionally, the artwork of many existing emoji have also been updated to make them look more real life. The new Unicode 9.0 emoji support is in line with the new emoji support that Apple added to iOS 10.2 and watchOS 3.1.1 via a beta update yesterday.

While not mentioned in the official changelog, the latest Sierra beta should also help fix minor bugs and issues reported by owners of the new 13-inch MacBook Pro without TouchBar. It is likely that we will see Apple release the public beta of macOS 10.12.2 before the end of this week.

macOS Sierra 10.12.2 beta 2 (build 16C41b) is now available in Apple’s portal for developers for members of the Apple Developer Program. The latest build can be installed over-the-air on computers with a prior beta using the Software Update mechanism via the Mac App Store’s Updates tab.

If you notice any other changes introduced by Apple in the latest macOS 10.12.2 beta, drop a comment and let us know.
