Happy Monday - First Monday of March!
Why is it that February, which is the shortest month of the year, always feels like it's the longest? I'm so over this weather.
But, the days are getting longer and i always find it so amazing how much just a bit more sunshine each day really effects everyone in the house. Especially me. All winter long we get up in the dark, so it's nice to have the sun already rising when we wake up again. It's making me feel so hopeful for spring.
So.
Because this is the first monday of the month - it's a Use My Tangle Challenge!
Weekly Challenge #387: "UMT - HaWy by Holly Atwater, CZT"
This month's Use My Tangle challenge features the tangle HaWy (Rhymes with Hawaii).
The first Monday of each month is a Use My Tangle challenge where the tangle we use is brought to us by ONE of YOU!! You don't have to be a CZT to submit, but they do have to follow the guidelines etc found here...
This month's tangle is brought to you via Holly's instagram feed! i saved the post in my collections and i kept thinking i'd get around to it, but i never did - but luckily for me sometimes i get to use my challenge as a way to further my OWN practice. Yay me! lol
You can find the step outs to this amazinnnnng tangle on Holly's blog - and you can all ooh and ahh over her new home in Vegas too.... (Holly, if i'm ever in Vegas, i'm coming for you... lol)
This is certainly not a 'mindless' tangle - like keeko or printemps. It's definitely what you'd call a HIGH FOCUS tangle, and i think it looks more intimidating than it actually is - eventually. But dannng. The results are worth it.
Here's my tile done with Holly's tangle.
For some reason i had a very sci-fi feel while i was tangling, so i tried to make the bottom half of the tangle a little more flowy and organic, like a spacey background to this stark angled geometric tangle. i'm not so sure i achieved the effect i was going for, but this WAS my pass of this tangle, and i'll for sure be doing it again.
