Maybelline launched their spring/summer collection 2015 and the range consists of graffiti nail paints and Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks. In this post I will be reviewing Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet lipsticks in REB 01 and REB 02.
They have launched 6 super pigmented shades in this range. In USA this collection is known as Rebel Bloom.Here in India it is known as Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks. The same name applies to the UK Version.

My Take on the Product:
These Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks come in same old packaging of Maybelline color sensational lipsticks similar to Bold Mattes and Pink Pows. The Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks don’t have names and instead are called by codes which are confusing. It is difficult to identify the shade from a bunch of these lipsticks.You will have to open the lipstick tube and check each time which color it is. There is nothing written except for the codes.The caps can get exchanged too. The name & shade of the lipstick are provided at the bottom and that’s the only way to differentiate if you store it upside down. I wish the rebel typography was inscribed on the cap.
The packaging is sturdy. The Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks are housed in a case with a semi transparent cover. Each tube matches the colours of the bullet. These lipsticks are very creamy in texture and have a buttery consistency. It leaves a satin kind of finish. It turns out to be slightly glossy initially and settles into a semi matte look later.
It glides easily on lips and those who have dry lips can use a lip balm prior application. If you prefer a matte look you can set it with powder.These Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks are moisturising and don’t dry out on my lips. It gives sumptuous light weighted feel. It does feel a bit sticky as time passes. Pigmentation is neither too deep nor too poor. The color payoff is perfectly balanced. The shades look more pastel. Two swipes can give you complete coverage. They are quite glossy and can bleed. They don’t feel slippery on lips. They do transfer easily but once it gets set it is not that troublesome. The shades are nice for spring and summers and reminds me of flowers. The shades are work appropriate though they are not very unique.
The lasting power of these lipsticks is 3-4 hrs and can survive a meal or drink in between. Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks leave behind a beautiful stain at the end of day.I use a makeup remover to get rid off the stain. The luminous finish will look good on fair skin types or the ones with a cool undertone. I would definitely recommend Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet Lipsticks to anyone who’s looking for a nice pastel shade to wear this season.
Despite the cons, I have been reaching out to these lipsticks everyday and I can see myself wearing it very often. REB 01 is a deep red color with maroon undertones. There are fine silver shimmers in it which is not so visible. It is a bold shade and will look good for winters. This shade is suitable for almost all Indian Skin tones. REB 02 is a Perfect Bright Pink Shade for the Summers. It is a hot shade and wont suit dusky skin tones.
