I was invited to take up the 14-Day challenge by Pantene to “cure” my destroyed hair with Pantene’s Pro-V Hair Fall Control Range and see the hair transformation. Pantene Pro-V Shampoo and Conditioner came at a time when I was struggling to stop my hair fall problem. Here Pro-V stands for ‘Pro-Vitamin B5’.
It has been over 14 days of me using this Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Range and here is my take on it.

My Take on Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Shampoo and Conditioner:
Pantene is one of the oldest haircare brands in India. I remember using their products since my childhood days. The formula has always suited my hair type. I received Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Shampoo, Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Conditioner, Random Shampoo and conditioner of another brand in my #14daychallenge kit. The brand name is not disclosed.
Pantene Pro-V Shampoo and the Conditioner comes in Pantene’s signature packaging ie, white plastic opaque bottle with a golden flip cap. Details like ingredients, instructions etc. are printed on the shampoo and conditioner pack. The shampoo and conditioner bottles are travel-friendly. The packaging is sturdy. It does not leak or spill.
The shampoo has a runny consistency. There is a touch of sheen to it. The shampoo has a nice fruity scent. It takes only 1-2 caps of the shampoo to work a good lather in my medium length hair.
I usually soak my hair before shampoo application. I then apply the shampoo to the back and start massaging it slowly towards the front scalp. I even dilute my shampoo at times when my hair is not so greasy and needs only a little care. Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Shampoo leaves my scalp squeaky clean. I didn’t notice any product buildup. I didn’t get any scalp itch too. Post wash, I just make sure to rinse my hair well till the soapiness fades. The shampoo removes excess oil, dust, grease and other pollutants from the hair effectively. My hair feels light weighted after using this shampoo.
Coming to the conditioner, it is white in color with a thick creamy consistency. The best method to use a conditioner is to work it on the length of the hair avoiding the scalp. Using a conditioner is a must for me after shampooing especially else my hair turns out to be frizzy, dry and unmanageable. The conditioner made my hair smooth and soft. I also love the fact that the fruity smell lingers for a day or two.
After 14 days of usage, I can confidently say that Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control has reduced my hair breakage to a great extent. My hair has become healthy and bouncy. It feels so soft and manageable. I am able to flaunt in my favorite white dress without worrying about hair fall.
Honestly speaking, no product can control hair fall completely; of course, there can be no miracles but I found this Pantene Pro-V Range better than the other brand. It’s an entirely decent hair care range that does the cleansing job well. It did not overwhelm my fine hair. It actually made my hair shining and soft with every use. It has a few chemicals which happen to be its downside. It is free of dye and parabens, though.
Maintaining my hair is made easy with Pantene. I was able to run my fingers starting from the top all the way down on my stubborn hair. I didn’t see much fall-outs too. I gotta say, I’m very impressed with Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Range. Let me also point out that the other brand shampoo and conditioner was very harsh on my hair and lead to more hair fall.
You can see how happy my hair looks! I am doing a happy dance right now ! I believe that the best ever new Pantene truly helps to win the hair fall battle.
