Jamaica’s beauty queen Yendi Phillipps has called her intimate relationship with Chino a quits.

After a much-publicized pregnancy, which was announced via Facebook, the relationship between the celebrity couple has completely come to an end.

Hype Life Magazine has learned that Chino, wose real name is Daniel McGregor and Yendi Phillipps are no longer an item.

Rumors about the couple’s split began circulating late last year, however when approached about the issue, the couple was tight-lipped.

“Where did you get that information from? I am in the middle of something right now and I cannot comment on that,” Chino said before hanging up his phone on media reporters.

Former Miss Jamaica World (2007) and Miss Jamaica Universe (2010) Phillipps didn’t take up the offer to comment on the split however stated that she was not interested in talking about her personal life with the press.

“I want you to stop using my number to ask me stupid things,” the beauty queen said.

In 2012, just months after publicly announcing Phillipp’s pregnancy, Chino also released a track titled Miss Universe, seemingly dedicated to his then baby- mother.

Phillipps also set tongues wagging after she was seen on the popular morning show, Smile Jamaica, sporting what appeared to her fans to be an engagement ring.

Images which previously showcased the couple in happier times had also been removed from each party Instagram pages, where it was revealed that they were not following each other.

The Jamaican couple welcomed a daughter in September 2012.

Was Yendi Phillipps Cheating On Chino With A Digicel Employee?

Former Miss Jamaica Universe Yendi Phillipps reportedly submitted an application to the Supreme Court seeking full custody of her child with Daniel McGregor, more popularly known as dancehall artiste Chino.

The application was filed in the Supreme Court this week by the law firm Nelson-Brown, Guy and Francis.

Yendi Phillips is requesting custody, care and control of her child with Chino, along with $60,000 per month in child support.

The beauty queen is also asking the court to order Chino to pay half of the child’s  medical and educational expenses.

As part of the custody arrangement, Phillipps is asking the court to grant the dancehall entertainer access to the child twice during the week for three hours and once every weekend for seven hours.

She has been ordered to serve the application on the defendant. No date has been set for the matter to be heard.
