K-Drama fans, ya’ll are in for a treat
Top South Korean broadcasting company Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation aka MBC has released a short character teaser video for their upcoming 16-episode melodrama series, titled “W”, starring “Pinocchio” actor Lee Jong Suk (이종석) and “Dong Yi” actress Han Hyo Joo (한효주).
The 1-minute long video clip made its premiere through Naver last night (Tuesday, 14th June) and while the 1st half of the teaser focuses on Lee Jong Suk’s character, Kang Chul, the 2nd half centres on Han Hyo Joo’s character, Oh Yeon Joo.
The 1st trailer starts off with Kang Chul fighting off a group of gangsters and driving a flashy red sports car. The charismatic “chaebol” (meaning wealthy family/clan in Korean) shoots a cute wink at the camera after he wins the fight whereas in the 2nd trailer, Oh Yeon Joo looks lost, confused, and scared.
Everything is like bad dream for the poor girl: she doesn’t know how she ends up on a roof; she can be seen running through a kitchen frantically; and suddenly, she’s arrested by the police. We also get a tiny glimpse of a bloody Kang Chul lying on the floor saying, “Oh Yeon Joo, where are you now?”.

“W” will be replacing MBC’s current Wednesday – Thursday drama, “Lucky Romance” and it is slated for release at 10pm on 20th July.
