Snow World is one of the latest amusement parks located in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Its spread over an area of 2 acres and its located beside Indira Park along the beautiful Hussain Sagar Lake. Snow World was inaugurated on January 28, 2004. Snow World is the place for you in the city which makes you feel like you are in Himalayas in a hill station atleast for hour or so.
Snow World was architect by Nitish Roy and it’s the India’s first and the third such snow park. Snow World has 200 tonnes of artificial made snow was layered on flooring which was prepared to avoid the melting. Every day the top layer of the snow is cleaned and additional snow is added to it. The extra snow which required daily is generated within the facility.
Snow World can accommodate a total of 2,000 visitors in a day. Once you enter the snow area inside the temperature is lowered in step wise manner from 20 degrees to 0 degrees and then sub-zeros temperature, a technique which is adopted internationally. Additionally you are provided with protective clothing and a steaming cup of soup to help the visitors adapt to the temperature changes.
The internal area is called as Cryo Zone where it maintains a standard constant temperature of -5 degrees. Visitors can stay inside for an hour and 300 visitors can be accommodating at the same time. All the visitors can explore the different facilities such as kid snow play area, snow wars, snow tube slides, ice bumping cars, merry go ground and ice skating rink. With no restrictions of photography and videos, you can take those memorable snaps of time that would be spending here with your near and dear ones.
But the amazing and the scintillating feature that will make you feel like the real touch of snow world is the ten minute fall of snowfall. You feel like snow is falling from the sky although it’s artificial even though its consumed by children. Recently a 40,000 square feet kart racing was built and open to public. Accordingly it was built with world class facilities including the fresh air system certified by Motor Sports Association of India. It was inaugurated by the famous Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu in 2004 who has major role in turning Hyderabad city as the hub of IT and for his contribution Hyderabad was identified as the top 5 cities in India. 
Snow World Entry Fees & Timing
Snow World has an entry fee of Rs 200 for children below 4 feet’s and Rs 250 for adults. Its open from 11 Am to 8.30 Pm and open on all days. The closes MMTS station is Sanjivaiah Park station and the closest bus stop is Indira Park stop. It’s located very close to the Hussain Sagar Lake and you can easily spot it from other side of it namely from Lumbini Park or NTR Gardens. The APSRTC runs buses from different part of the city to the #1 center of entertainment and pride of Hyderabad i.e., Tank Bund & adjoining area of Hussain Sagar Lake.
