With several hunting lodges, game call and African Safari exhibitors, the Kansas City Boat and Sportshow is the perfect place for hunting enthusiasts to plan their next hunting season. Synthia Wilson, accomplished writer, Midwestern hunting personality and regular radio guest on 610 Sports Radio’s “Show Me the Outdoors” will be presenting two hunting seminars: “Deer Hunting 101” and “Using Your Instincts - Whitetail Hunting.” At Deer Hunting 101, guests will learn how to find deer and how to make different deer calls. At Using Your Instincts – Whitetail Hunting, guests will gain knowledge on samples of terrain, where deer like to live, how they use their senses and learn their protective instincts. The 2014 show also includes a variety of hands-on fishing and boating activities and seminars. Boating and Outdoor Classroom – Guests will learn the latest in fishing and hunting techniques from local experts in an extensive seminar lineup. Fred’s Shed – Boat owners can attend educational seminars about maintaining, repairing and upgrading their boats. Each seminar will cover a variety of topics and demonstrations, along with question and answer sessions for the experts. Willow Creek Trout Pond – Young guests will have lots of fun as they cast for live fish in the catch-and-release Willow Creek Trout Pond. Texas Bass Tank – This 12-ft. tall, 40-ft long, 5,000 gallon aquarium is stocked with native fish so guests can enjoy a rare underwater view of professional fishing and casting demonstrations.
