The Hungarian team provided an extraordinary performance at the X. CMAS Finswimming World Cup, held in the northern Hungarian city of Eger, with the Hungarian national finswimming and diving team collecting a total of eighteen medals during the event.

On the event”s closing day, Petra Senánszky on the finals of 100-metre female finswimming freestyle, as did fellow Hungarian Krisztina Varga on 200 metres. Dénes Kanyó, Gergő Kosina and Krisztina Varga won silver medals (in 400-metre male finswimming, 100-metre male finswimming freestyle and 100-metre female finswimming freestyle respectively), while Zsófia Kovács came third in female finswimming freestyle finals.

Among junior contestants, the 4×100 finswimming relay team comprised of Erik Varga, Ádám Tóth, András Fazekas and Róbert Semostyán won the World Cup gold medal and Kornél Grber, Róbert Semostyán and Erik Varga all won silvers in invidual events.

According to the Hungarian diving federation’s information, four finswimmers – Dénes Kanyó, Petra Senánszky, Krisztina Varga and Laura Kardos qzalified for World Championships, which are to be held in the Chinese city of Yantai in July.
