Fact: boring transfer sagas are the bane of the modern football fan's life.

The likes of Diego Costa to Chelsea for £50million is a story that has been flogged to death. As has Toni Kroos to Manchester United. And Messi to PSG. Romelu Lukaku is a certainty to leave Chelsea. Oh, and Luke Shaw is also going to Manchester United. Every man and his dog wants to sign Jackson Martinez from Porto, while Manchester United just want to sign every man and his dog. Yawn.

To satisfy all you football hipsters, here's a list of six lesser known stars (some more famous than others) who would do us all a favour if they graced the Premier League with their presence next season.

6. Sam Vokes/Danny Ings (Burnley FC)

The Championship's version of Liverpool's potent SAS partnership has propelled Burnley to the Premier League. The two strikers never really got going until this season and they just seem to love playing together. This is the reason for which they have been included as a partnership rather than as individuals.

Many would have none-too foolishly believed that losing Charlie Austin to QPR may have been to the detriment of Burnley, but Vokes and Ings have more than filled the void with 46 goals between them in all competitions and 20 each in the league.

Firing Burnley to promotion, one hopes that they have the chance to play together next year in the Premier League rather than being individually poached, severing their partnership.

5. Ross McCormack (Leeds United)

Leading the Championship's top scorers chart by a four goal margin and being one of the top assist providers in the league is more than enough to explain why Ross McCormack is ready to make the step up to the Premier League.

Leeds will not be returning to the top division any time soon, however, and McCormack seems to love playing for his current club. So much so that he is ready to pledge his future to them as long as new owner Massimo Cellino stumps up the cash to inevitably make him the club's top earner by a distance.

Nonetheless, if a larger Premier League club were to make a sizeable bid for the Leeds skipper, then he would surely find the temptation too much to turn down. With the performances that the Scot has put in this season, this may not be as far fetched as it sounds and the striker would surely be an asset to any Premier League side.

4. Chuks Aneke (Crewe Alexandra/Arsenal)

Aneke is on Arsenal's books, but is currently out on loan at struggling League One side Crewe. They may still yet be relegated and almost certainly would have been already been had it not been for Aneke's haul of 14 goals and seven assists in the league this season.

Crewe have only scored 52 times in this league campaign and 20-year-old Aneke has contributed to over 40% of these directly.

The step up to the Premier League may be a big one for a youngster, but Aneke has proved his worth over and over again this season. Wenger would be foolish not to think about keeping him and using him sparingly until January at least, when he could loan him out again if he is not getting enough playing time.

3. Rémy Cabella (Montpellier HSC)

Cabella is figuratively and literally in a different league to Chuks Aneke, but parallels can still be drawn between the two. Cabella is also the star player of struggling side and like the young Englishman he has also directly contributed to over 40% of his side's total goals for this year's league campaign.

Cabella was linked with Newcastle as a replacement for Yohan Cabaye in January, but the move never happened and as such there is plenty of interest from around Europe with Montpellier unlikely to be able to hold on to their star. More of an attacking force than Cabaye, Cabella would be the perfect man for a smaller team to build their side around, or to supplement the attack of one of the league's larger powers.

2. Alfreð Finnbogason (SC Heerenveen)

Finnbogason is currently on the books of Heerenveen in the Netherlands, but one feels that with a return of 27 league goals in 29 appearances, as well as seven assists, he may not be there for much longer.

The Icelandic striker performed well last season, but this year he really seems to have come into his own and in January was linked with the likes of Celtic, Fulham and Newcastle. Finnbogason has continued his prolific form since then and may even attract the interest of clubs larger than those who courted him in the winter.

He would surely be a good option for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea who have both been short of a real goalscorer all season.

1. Ciro Immobile (Torino FC)

Like Finnbogason, Immobile is the leading scorer in his league and plays for a smaller club who are unlikely to be able to keep hold of him during the summer. The extent of Immobile's achievement in leading the Serie A top scorers is underlined by the fact that he is outscoring the likes of Carlos Tevez, Luca Toni and Alberto Gilardino, Giuseppe Rossi, Fernando Llorente and Mario Balotelli in the race for the Golden boot.

He evidently has the talent to succeed in one of Europe's top leagues and although a move to the Premier League is something that the Italian would take time to adapt to, given enough support he could flourish.

Immobile would not come as cheap as some of the other players on this list amidst reported interest from Juventus and a bag of goals from the young forward in the World Cup would surely see his value soar to over £20million.
