FISHKILL – True North Hotel Group announced that Lisa Brady and Keri Greer have been appointed general manager and director of sales, respectively, for Fishkill, New York’s first dual-branded hotel, the 91-suite Residence Inn and 75-suite SpringHill Suites, slated to open under one roof on December 15.
Lisa Brady
Sharing an address at 500 Westage Business Center Drive in Fishkill, the hotels will also share an indoor swimming pool, outdoor fire pit, putting green and a fitness center as well as 1,581 square feet of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 60 people. Complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi will be amenities offered to all hotel guests.
The two all-suite brands, which together will provide Fishkill guests with a full spectrum of the lodging industry’s top extended stay, business and leisure travel options, are owned and are managed by True North Hotel Group of Overland Park, Kansas.
The management duo
Lisa Brady, general manager, has built her 17-year hospitality career in the northeast, serving in both sales and operations management positions with Marriott and Hilton-branded hotels. Most recently, she was general manager for seven years at the Danbury, Connecticut, Hilton Garden Inn, leading the hotel to winning the brand’s coveted Spirit to Serve Award. Notably, she also led a Courtyard by Marriott in Danbury, Connecticut, to the prestigious Alice Marriott Award for Community Service in 2007 while serving as general manager. Brady holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts.
Keri Greer
Keri Greer, director of sales, has built her 16-year hospitality career in the northeast and western U.S., serving in sales positions with Hilton and IHG properties, a private golf club and travel agencies. Most recently, she was director of sales and marketing for two years at the Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel in New Windsor, New York. While with Hilton, she earned three sales certifications and won the Connie Pride Award of Merit. Greer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York.
History
“Our dual properties hold sentimental value for True North Hotel Group,” said Brady, explaining that the company’s co-founder, former Fishkill resident, businessman and philanthropist Mike Dubroff, was one of the very first Residence Inn franchisees when he built the brand there in 1985 on the current Hawthorn Suites site. “Mike went on to build 20 more hotels around the country but maintained his corporate office inside the former Fishkill Residence Inn even after co-founding True North Hotel Group with Lew Wiens in 1998.”
Greer added, “This interesting backstory comes full circle once again, but twice as strongly, as True North returns to Fishkill with two hotels. Now doubly able to serve visitors in two beautiful, unique hotels-within-a-hotel, we are excited and ready to welcome travelers to the Hudson Valley.”
