POUGHKEEPSIE – TEG Federal Credit Union held an official ribbon cutting at their new location at 1145 Route 9 on Thursday, September 15.

Among the guests attending the ribbon cutting ceremony were representatives from the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Senator Sue Serino’s Office.

TEG is a member-owned, not-for-profit, community financial institution.  As a long time member and ribbon-cutting host, Frank M. Castella, Jr., President and CEO of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce said, “When you shop, when you dine, and when you need a credit line, think local – think TEG!”

The celebration continues with a Grand Opening event that is open to the public this Saturday, September 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. TEG will be offering specials to anyone who comes into the Route 9 branch that day, including a chance to spin and win a special certificate rate.

K-104 will be broadcasting live, and free ice cream, popcorn and hot dogs will be available throughout the event. During the celebration, children can enjoy lots of entertainment including a bounce slide, face painting, and decorate a piggy bank Community residents are encouraged to visit the new TEG branch and join in the festivities.

The 2368 square-foot branch is at the intersection of Smithtown Road and Route 9, and offers a full range of business and consumer banking products and services.  The branch features a traditional teller line, 24-hour drive-up ATM and night deposit drop, two drive-up teller stations, and on-site consumer loan officers.  The office is currently open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We are pleased to open this new location in Wappingers Falls to serve our members in southern Dutchess County,” said Ronald A. Flaherty, TEG’s President and CEO. “We are very excited to have moved into our new building that will make the credit union more accessible and convenient to our members.”

Michelle Rodriquez, a financial services professional with over 14 years of experience, will serve as the Branch Manager of the new TEG location. Rodriguez has been serving as an Assistant Branch Manager of the Commerce Street Branch for TEG over the past year.
