Since creating Janice Parker Landscape Architects in 1984, Janice has cultivated the firm to one of national prominence. Under her guidance, the firm has been honored with multiple awards including the 2012 National Palladio Award for Landscape Architecture, four Innovation in Design Awards from Connecticut Cottages and Gardens, the 2015 Professional Merit Award from CTASLA and the A List Award from At Home Magazine in 2011. Janice was involved in the formation of New York City’s Million Trees project and designed The Cherry Tree Project for the Harlem River Esplanade. Rooms That Tell Stories

Linda O’Keeffe is a preeminent writer, critic and journalist on interiors, contemporary residential living and domestic style. Born and educated in London, England her career has been pursued in Europe and New York. She produced a weekly feature for the Daily News Magazine, and her byline has appeared in a number of publications including the London Sunday Times Magazine, Elle Décor and Metropolitan Home Magazinewhere she served as Creative Director for 16 years. Linda writes and produces design books while directing advertising campaigns, consulting with design firms and paint manufacturers, producing interior design stories, moderating scholarly panel discussions, judging design competitions and lecturing. Her published books include, but are not limited to, Expressive Modern, Brilliant: White In Design, Stripes: Between The Lines, Suspending Reality: Interiors by Benjamin Noriega-Orit and most recently, Heart and Home: Rooms that Tell Stories.

Following tradition since 2002, the Friends of Boscobel membership program includes free admission to lectures throughout the year. Cushioned seating is on stairs and chairs, and a wine & cheese reception —sponsored by Munder-Skiles Garden Furniture, Garrison, NY — follows in the Carriage House where guests may chat with the speakers and purchase books for signing.
