So it comes as no surprise to learn that 32% of UK brand mentions are food & drink-related, according to Brandwatch (calculated based on a sample of 10,000 randomly selected UK tweets).

Brandwatch extrapolates that around 200,000 UK tweets mention brands everyday and that purchase intent is the single greatest motivation for male users to brand-mention (females like competitions more but purchase intent comes second).
