This is Vertigo1990. I need some help. Every time I log in, then try to edit something or change preferences, it reverts me to an unregistered IP address. Any ideas?

::On Firefox 3.5.7, I have it set to not remember any passwords, so it never asks to remember them. I did click the box on the login page to remember my password. I have cookies enabled, and set to keep until they expire. [[Special:Contributions/66.82.9.79|66.82.9.79]] 20:51, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

:::This is still an issue. It doesn't happen anywhere but here, so I have to assume it's a problem with the website. I wouldn't mind if somehow one of the admins could delete my account and I'd have to recreate it.

::::Did you click a non-www link if you're on www.hrwiki.org? Or click a www link when on just hrwiki.org? Cookies don't log you in for both, and some navigation on the left, as well as some templates force the www onto the location. {{User:ColdReactive/sig}} 21:41, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

:Thanks ColdReactive. Anything I do immediately logs me out; none of my user-specific links (prefs, watchlist, etc.), nav links, or searches let me stay signed in. I've also upgraded to Firefox 3.6.6. Vertigo1990

::::On my computer (a PowerBook G4 1.25Ghz FW800 running Mac OS X 10.4.11): Firefox 3.6.6, Safari 4.0.4, Camino 2.0.3, and Opera 10.60 all encounter the same problem. My mother's computer (Windows Vista on Gateway hardware, IE 8) also does not work. I tried en.wikipedia.org with no ill effects, and Gmail runs as it should, as do other sites that I log into. And a better answer for ColdReactive: I use my bookmark which inluces the www. Vertigo1990

:Thanks, Dot Com. However, I think maybe you misunderstood, or I didn't articulate clearly. Logging in is no problem. It's just that once I am logged in, the next page I navigate to undoes the login, so I am unable to change my preferences or easily sign my posts. But since you were able to post as me... :I understood you; I was just seeing if it was possible to log in as you (and stay logged in), to find out just how high the problem went. Like you, I think it's somewhere between our server and your house.
