“Ahhhh, Forever 21!! Where? Where? Where?“ two girls screaming with laughter at me while pointing on my shopping bags. That’s what happened when I arrived in Cologne yesterday afternoon. Depending on where you live, your reaction might look the same, when I’m going to tell you, where my Forever 21 shopping bags came from: Mönchengladbach! Yes, a new Forever 21 store opened at the Minto Arcaden in Mönchengladbach yesterday! And that’s either near to Berlin, nor near to Munich, but in the middle of North-Rhine-Westphalia. And when I answered “Mönchengladbach” to the girls, their screaming with laughter turned into jumps of joy.
So, yesterday the grand Forever 21 store opening in Mönchengladbach took place and that means, from now on, you’ll find Forever 21 not only in Berlin and Munich, but also in western Germany. Together with Kira from Call Me Shopaholic, Lisa from The L Fashion and some other bloggers, we went there to have a closer look at the store and the current collections.
But let’s start from the scratch: When we arrived at the Minto Arcaden, we first have been impressed by the shopping mall itself, because it also was the opening of the Minto Arcaden and it’s really beautiful there. But it has been pretty crowded inside the shopping center (1. shopping-rule: Don’t go shopping on saturdays, unless you need to.), so we directly went to the Forever 21 store. Do you know the shopping moment, when you start to get crazy and you need to stop yourself!? That happened yesterday, because Forever 21 is not only known for offering the latest fashion trends, but also for their good value-for-money ratio.
And the assortment is really large: women, men, basics, lingerie, nightwear, beach fashion, accessories and shoes – you’ll find almost everything there.
So, I think you can imagine how we sneaked through the store. But there was even more to experience: for example a nail art station and a photo booth machine.
I’m going to show you my pickings during the next weeks! But there’s another thing I can tell you: the Forever 21 store in Mönchengladbach won’t stay the only one in North-Rhine-Westphalia. All details will be announced next Wednesday on my Instagram account.
And for those of you, who don’t live near to Berlin, Munich and Mönchengladbach, don’t be sad – of course Forever 21 still has an online store! AND one way or the other my hometown Cologne is worth visiting – and Mönchengladbach is just an hour away. And the pick of it is that the Minto Arcaden are nearby the main station of Mönchengladbach.

„Ahhhh, Forever 21!!! Wo? Wo? Wo?“ kreischen mir gestern nachmittag zwei Mädels in Köln entgegen, während sie aufgeregt auf meine Einkaufstüten zeigen. Und je nachdem wo ihr wohnt, fällt eure Reaktion vielleicht ähnlich aus, wenn ich euch verrate, wo die Forever 21 Einkaufstüten her kamen: Aus Mönchengladbach! Gestern eröffnete nämlich ein neuer Forever 21 Store in den Minto Aracaden in Mönchengladbach. Und das liegt weder bei Berlin, noch bei München, sondern Mitten in NRW. Und als ich den beiden Mädels das zurief, gab es zum Gekreische sogar noch ein paar kleine Freudensprünge.
Gestern hat also das große Forever 21 Store Opening Event in Mönchengladbach stattgefunden und somit findet ihr Forever 21 ab sofort nicht mehr nur noch in Berlin und München, sondern auch im Westen Deutschlands. Zusammen mit Kira von Call Me Shopaholic, Lisa von The L Fashion und zahlreichen anderen Bloggerinnen habe ich für euch den neuen Store und die (tollen) Kollektionen gestern unter die Lupe genommen.
Aber von vorne: als wir gestern in den Minto Arcaden angekommen sind, waren wir schon vom Einkaufszentrum selbst begeistert, denn auch das hat gerade erst eröffnet und ist wirklich super schön geworden. Allerdings war es im Einkaufszentrum relativ voll (1.Shoppingregel: Gehe niemals samstags einkaufen, wenn es nicht unbedingt sein muss!), weshalb wir direkt den neuen Forever 21 Store gestürmt haben. Kennt ihr es, wenn ihr beim Shoppen langsam aber sicher in einen Rausch verfallt und euch selbst bremsen müsst? So war es gestern – denn das kalifornische Label ist nicht nur dafür bekannt, dass es immer die aktuellsten und neuesten Trends zu bieten hat, sondern auch für das unschlagbare Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.
Und auch die Auswahl ist riesig: Damen, Herren, Basics, Lingerie, Nachtwäsche, Bademode, Accessoires, Schuhe – es gibt einfach alles!
Ihr könnt euch also vorstellen, wie wir gestern durch den Forever 21 Store geschlichen sind. Leider, oder vielleicht auch glücklicherweise hat es gestern den ganzen Tag geregnet, weshalb es uns ein bisschen weniger schwer fiel, nicht gleich alle Teile der neuen Sommerkollektion zu kaufen. Zur Neueröffnung gab es aber auch noch ein paar schöne Aktionen: Man konnte sich z.B. die Nägel lackieren lassen und Fotos in einem Photo Booth Automaten machen.
Was ich so geshoppt habe werde ich euch in den nächsten Wochen zeigen – und eine Sache kann ich euch noch verraten: Der Store in Mönchengladbach wird nicht der einzige Forever 21 Store in NRW bleiben. Alles weitere erfahrt ihr aber auch schon Mitte nächster Woche auf meinem Instagram Profil!
Und für alle, die nicht in der Nähe von Berlin, München oder Mönchengladbach wohnen – nicht traurig sein – Forever 21 hat natürlich auch weiterhin einen Onlineshop! Und abgesehen davon: meine Heimatstadt Köln ist natürlich so und so immer schon einen Besuch wert und wenn ihr dann schon mal hier seid – in einer knappen Stunden erreicht ihr Mönchengladbach. Und das Beste: die Minto Arcaden liegen auch in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Mönchengladbacher Hauptbahnhof.
