Test any of the 80+ models and attend a variety of clinics on topics such as kayak fishing, paddling, and more. Demo hours are Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm, and Sunday noon – 4 pm. Plus save up to 30% off on a variety of kayaks! This is private property open for this event at The Pond at Butler, 3941 Butler Rd. in Conroe.

Engage with books — Cinco Ranch Branch Public Library presents Literary and Fine Arts Festival and Parade Saturday, 10 am – 2 pm, in Katy. Enjoy live music and performances by local high school students, educational scholarships awards, kids’ activities, county emergency vehicles, and a children’s book character parade through La Centerra shopping complex. Enjoy family fun near Hobby Airport — HobbyFest returns Saturday as an annual event to give back to the community. Enjoy free hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and popcorn. Don’t miss the free activities such as moonwalk, face painting, video game bus, interactive Mad Science exhibit, vintage aircraft on display, balloon artist, live DJ and more. Celebrate Taiwan — Enjoy the free Taiwan Festival with games, cultural activities and more. Located at 5885 Point West Dr.
Jam to the drums — Miller Outdoor Theatre presents a percussion ensemble featuring master taiko artist Kenny Endo. Some of the instruments include odaiko, taiko set, percussion, vibraphones, Western flute, Japanese koto, and more. This concert kicks off at 8 pm at 6000 Hermann Park.
SUNDAY
Enjoy family fun — Take advantage of free admission for Family Day at Rienzi and Bayou Bend! Enjoy games, workshops, performances and more. Celebrate books — Enjoy an afternoon with an award-winning children’s author, Kate DiCamillo, at Cool Brains! Imprint Readings. She will talk about and read from her newest book coming out this month, Raymie Nightingale. She will also take audience questions and do a book sale and signing. Enjoy FotoFun Family Day — Celebrate Earth Day at FotoFest!
