Kids in Houston have about two months left of school. But don’t despair, parents! There are lots of options around Houston thanks to community groups, churches, art studios, museums, and sports organizations — sometimes even on the cheap!

Club SciKidz Houston
Club SciKidz Houston (CSKH) is Sugar Land’s premiere summer day camp. With more than 30 weeklong offerings from June 13-July 29, CSKH can provide your child with loads of engagement, fun, and hands-on science (S), technology (T), engineering (E), art (A), and mathematics (M) opportunities.
CSKH offers a variety of subjects for ages 4 – 15. Summer 2016 classes include instruction about coding in Minecraft, rocketry, paleontology, chemistry, veterinary science, anatomy/physiology, animation, movie special effects and more! Club SciKidz Houston has two components: camps for ages 4-11 and 12-15 year olds. The camps for ages 12-15 are titled Tech Scientific and emphasize application of such 21st Century Skills as collaboration, technology integration, communication, presentation, and problem solving. The camps for ages 4-11 offer similar introductory skill building opportunities.
Club SciKidz Houston is the first Houston location, joining the family of CSK franchisees in Atlanta, Dallas, Maryland, and Virginia. Camp Quillian
Camp Quillian is the only American Camp Association accredited day camp in the city of Houston, and is the preferred summer camp of the Westchase District. Camp Quillian is designed for campers age 5-14. Campers at Camp Quillian will play sports, organized games, climb the rock wall, enjoy special events, swim in Quillian’s two swimming pools, see exciting guest speakers, and take part in many different specialty camps.
Specialty camps include swim lessons, cooking, lacrosse, basketball, water polo, flag football, pre-k sports, tennis, golf, rock climbing, soccer, drama, art, dance, and much more. Camp Quillian has some of the finest facilities in the area including the famous Noah’s Ark pool, a competition swimming pool with diving boards and slides, gymnasium, game room, indoor climbing wall, a new playground, and more! Crossing Borders Spanish Summer Camp
Our camps are FUN and ACADEMIC! We accept children 2.5 years old-12 years old. Alley Theatre Play Makers Summer Camp
Is someone in your home running around dressed up like a knight or princess? Is their imagination overflowing with characters and stories? City ArtWorks Imagination Camp
At City ArtWorks, we focus on “Art for Life: giving children the ability to create, interpret, and explore through art.” Every summer, City ArtWorks offers programs that include sculpture, clay, printmaking, drawing, painting, mixed media and other visual art mediums. Legends Sports Complex
Legends Sports Complex in The Woodlands offers a number of summer camp options. But its All-Sports Camp is the one priced at $125/week ($100/wk at Open House) for half-day sessions. Kids will play a variety of traditional sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, and capture the flag.
