Houston Technology Center (HTC) - a gateway to the US market for technology companies from Mexico / Latin America

Launched in 2007, HTC-Americas program offers foreign companies access to HTC’s acceleration program, including business guidance, entrepreneurial education and the vast HTC community of technology and business leaders, service providers and investors. Foreign companies will also have access to office space in HTC’s midtown facility. In addition, HTC-Americas will create opportunities for US companies to work in cooperation with new technologies, businesses and investors from Mexico and Latin America.

Developed in cooperation with key technology and economic development entities, as well as government and corporate resources in both Houston and Mexico, HTC-Americas helps companies on both sides improve and expand their businesses and network of contacts, focusing on five key sectors: energy, information technology, life sciences, nanotechnology and NASA/aerospace.

Leveraging Houston’s proximity to many markets, HTC will serve to facilitate technology business and investment exchange across Houston, Mexico and Latin America. HTC-Americas will target foreign technology companies wishing to establish headquarters in Greater Houston. To qualify, companies must own a protected proprietary technology, have a written business plan that includes revenue or valuation projections of ~$30M+ by 5th year, and be capable and willing to assemble an appropriate management team.

Foreign companies wishing be considered for the program should submit an executive summary describing their company and technology to: HTC-Americas@HoustonTech.org.
